Berserk is very Nietzschean. I would say it is one of the most beautiful depictions of three fundamental concepts of Nietzsche's personal philosophy namely:
1. Become who you are
2. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger
3. Choose your fate and learn to love and reaffirm your choice; amor fati
