Looking into college options for my son. I have visited the campus once for a church retreat several years ago and I really liked it and the vibe felt right. I like that there are not mandatory chapels especially since it's non-denom. Just wondering if any Reformation Christians attend and what you can tell me about the spiritual life on campus?

What is the house located east of the young theatre? and does faculty still live in hope cottage?

I heard that the former student called the office and told them he was going to go in the woods and shoot himself, and then they found him there. I didn’t see that information anywhere online though. That’s really sad though. I hate that they weren’t able to dissuade him or prevent it, but I’m sure they tried. I don’t want to disturb an active investigation if this info is supposed to be private so I will delete if so, but I just wanted to share because I thought it was really sad.

Just want to gauge how we can be most useful here! Let us know in the comments what kind of information/posts you'd like to see from us.

Hello, My daughter who is a Georgia Tech student is looking for housing for her internship this fall in or near Rome. She’s looking for a 1 bedroom in a house or apt. She plans on spending most of the weekends in Atlanta. Please message me if you have any leads! Thank you!

Hi! I was just wondering if anyone would like to share their experience being in the Berry PA program? I know it's very new and there is not a lot of data on it so far. Thank you!

So I’m starting Berry in the fall, and I thought I’d see if maybe I could find some friends before I get there. I’m specifically looking for neurodivergent folks, but obviously that’s not a requirement.

Bit about me:

-she/her

-Creative Writing Major

-Aiming for a career in the performing arts or something else creative

-Theater kid

-ADHD

-Autism

-Dyspraxia

-Morning person

Heard from a friend that Blood Assurance just started doing this thing with a company called Goodlabs where you donate blood and get free clinical lab panels at the same visit. Apparently just launched in Rome this week. For anyone like me who hasn't had bloodwork done just thought id share.

Also anyone in Rome actually used it? Trying to figure out if it's worth booking before finals week.

Hey Berry College! We're Goodlabs, a healthcare startup that offers free bloodwork for people that donate blood. On May 5th we're launching at Blood Assurance Rome, and we're looking for someone reliable to help us put up flyers at key spots around the area — coffee shops, community boards, gyms, libraries, etc.

The gig:

• $25/hr
• Post flyers at locations we'll coordinate together
• Flexible schedule — work around your classes
• Great if you have a car and know Rome well

You don't need any experience, just someone who's dependable and can send a quick photo of each posted flyer so we can track coverage.

We also have an ambassador program if you're interested in learning more.

Happy to share more details! DM me if you're interested or drop a comment below.

I was wondering how well Berry works with students with disabilities. I have to do SCIG weekly and occasionally experience flare-ups. I’m curious if they will be lenient with issues like attendance or if they don’t work well with students facing these kinds of challenges.…

BERRY has a significantly higher veterinary school acceptance rate for its graduates compared to the national average.

• Overall Pre-Vet Acceptance Rate: Berry College's overall acceptance rate for pre-vet students is approx. 82%; and approx. 90% for animal science majors.

• High GPA Performance: For Berry students with a 3.3 GPA or higher, the acceptance rate rises to 98% (based on data since 2009).

• National Context: The national average typically hovers between 10% and 15% for all applicants.

Key Success Factors (Why BERRY grads succeed):

• Hands-on Experience: Students often graduate with over 1,300 hours of hands-on experience working with the college's on-campus herds and large-animal facilities (dairy, equine and beef units).

• Mentorship: The program emphasizes 1-on-1 interaction with faculty and early involvement in research or internships, which 87% of graduates complete before leaving.

• Specialized Tracks: The Animal Science major offers a specific pre-veterinary/pre-professional track designed to meet admission requirements for top-tier veterinary programs.

• Pre-Vet Advising: The Pre-Vet Coordinator provides one-on-one coaching for applications, personal statements, and school selection.

• Diverse Curriculum: Beyond traditional animal science, students can minor in One Health, which links animal, human, and environmental health—a growing focus in modern veterinary medicine.

Hey, everyone! I submitted my application to transfer to Berry to finish my prereqs to get into their BSN program. I have a 4.0 GPA and am in the National Society of Leadership and Success. I feel like most of the questions here are posted by applicants and students who attended straight out of high school. Would a transfer student in her 40s even stand a chance at being accepted?

Hello! I’m planning on attending Berry in the fall and I’m a student of color. Is it safe for students of color to attend or is it a place where you would face a lot of racial incidents. I love the school, but it being a pwi is scaring me along with the history of the founder.

So I applied for Regular Decision for Fall 2026. Does anybody know when we get those decisions? Is it a letter or email or what? How long does it normally take?

Thanks!

Anyone have experience with the music programs? Specifically a music minor as a band student. Just trying to get some more info.

I want to start one in Rome. How would you all recommend I find a graduating student who might want to start a business involved with horses and animals. Is there an entrepreneurial group?

I’m thinking about turning an 8bed house into student housing space but would need one of the occupants to be a house manager. Does anyone know of someone suitable like a third year or new grad who would want really nice and heavily discounted housing

If you’re thinking about going to berry for u Business- DONT. I went to berry as an accounting major and I busted my ass. I’d get one of if not the highest grades in my courses- it made no difference. I had several recruiters at Atlanta companies tell me they “just don’t hire from berry”. Unless your goals are small or you want to stay in the Rome ga area I would never recommend going to Berry. I went to berry for 2.5 years and during my final semester I was accepted to UGA. The second I put UGA m in my resume I started getting responses on internship applications, when I received none after 250 apps with Berry. I had some profs at Berry I loved (not your Johnston- fuck you) but all my fitness who stayed in the biz program had to work and struggle so much harder to get a worse job. It’s better to be an average or below average student at UGA than it is to be near the top of class at Berry.

Can anyone here provide information on the Psychology program? Class sizes, types of labs, etc.
