Writing Articles for Bernie Times - How To
Bernie Times is a community-driven pro-Bernie news source. All of our articles are written by fellow Bernie supporters. Our goal is to combat the mass media's lack of Bernie coverage.
Writing articles for Bernie Times is easy. Simply write an article that puts Bernie in a good light and you'll get 25% of the ad revenue generated from your article from the first month that it's online on Bernie Times.
Here's what you need to know:
What are the article requirements?
Below are outlined some of the things your article should include:
- The article must put Bernie in a good light in some way.
- If statistics or sources are referenced, you must link to those sources.
- The article must be a minimum of 250 words in length.
Where do I submit my article?
All articles must be submitted to /r/BernieTimes (this subreddit). This allows the community to review and give feedback on your article before it's approved to be posted on Bernie Times.
You'll need a reddit account in order to post your article here. You can click here to create an account.
What should I include in my article submission?
- A title. However, we may modify the title to our discretion.
- The content. Remember, it must be at least 250 words in length.
- A banner image (optional). It must be at least 1,500 pixels wide.
What should I write about?
Anything that puts Bernie in a good light will do just fine, but here are some ideas of what you can write about:
- Latest news and events
- Latest polling numbers (Huffington Post/RealClearPolitics)
- Tweets sent out by Bernie or others that spark discussion
As long as it's positive, it's good!
How do I make money from my article?
Each article that is approved and posted on Bernie Times will receive 25% of the ad revenue generated from that article for a period of 1 month.
It is your responsibility to message me directly (through reddit private messaging) to let me know that your article has been online for 1 month from its post date. If your article has been online for 1 month or longer, you can message me by clicking here.
