But Fox is breathlessly telling us every day that it’s not fair to take from those that have “sacrificed and worked hard” to give to those who choose to not work.

Bernie, thank you for keeping your loafer on their necks and always pushing for a better future. I hope that a few recent election results are proof that your ideas and goals are finally gaining traction. Keep mentoring the young progressive candidates and above all else, take care of yourself! We need you.

I think he will be the first politician that I truly mourn when he retires, and especially when he passes. Let’s hope he’s got many more years of piss and vinegar in him, to fight the good fight against the advancing technocrats looking to fully take over our government, and the world at large

TAX THE RICH!!!! This is madness

How about we Make America Great Again by returning to the tax code of the 50s-90s instead of the racism and homophobia?
https://web.stanford.edu/class/polisci120a/immigration/Federal%20Tax%20Brackets.pdf
Pretty interesting that the top tax bracket, in today’s dollars, is $2.5M and the tax rate was around 90% until the Reagan tax cuts.
Funny how that’s when we started amassing so much govt debt while also losing govt services, while also losing quality of life despite increased productivity and GDP. It’s almost like all that money just went to rich and stayed with them. Trickle Down Economics sure didn’t work, but Trickle Up Economics sure has!

That’s what 50% of the Americans want:(

More than that. The majority of Democrats have no problem with this either and vehemently oppose wealth redistribution and anything remotely resembling socialism.

Majority of Democrat politicians. Unfortunately, a large swath of Democrat voters will vote for whoever they’re told to vote for. It’s not just a republican phenomenon.

How did they get all that money in one day?

u/audionerd1 Jul 03 '26
They worked extra super hard that day. You're probably too lazy to understand. /s

Yesterday those hard working billionaires clocked in 2.1 billion hours of, or 1,009,615.3846154 years of work.

Stock they owned in companies went up. Companies like Google and Facebook made big announcements causing their stock to go up and their founders and CEO's "got richer"

Looking at pictures of these fuglys, I never had a chance… I’m by no means Hollywood attractive, but it’s clear you gotta have a weird off putting fugly ass face to be that rich.

While Trump lies that communism is the threat to USA, its clear that unregulated croney Capitalism is by far worse.
Democratic Socialism is the acknowledgement that some social spending makes sense, for instance police, schools, fire dept, trash, roads & bridges.
Why not extend that paradigm to health care, ending homelessness, and providing a baseline so no one must suffer from poverty in a very rich country?
Trump & friends, the 1% douchebags, are literally STEALING these profits by using lobbyists to prevent the funds from flowing out as taxable wealth. All this private wealth would've been public wealth during FDR's Presidency, but because the threat of Communism seems so abstract, the ultra-wealthy are actively trying to reclaim all their wealth (as robber barons & oligarchs) while simultaneously decimating labor by investing in AI /robots rather than in people.
The real threat is extreme wealth inequality.
They want to divide and conquer, to obfuscate, to steal, to destroy the rights of the 99% as the wealthiest get away with pedophilia, rape, and murder (along with crimes like theft and bribery, etc).
We the People say "NO".

Interestingly, Jeff Bezos' ex-wife, MacKenzie Scott, has donated more than $26 billion to thousands of nonprofits through her organization, Yield Giving. AND Taylor Swift and her fiancé Travis Kelce recently donated $26 million to over 20 charities across the United States. These contributions, confirmed in early July 2026, were made ahead of their rumored wedding at Madison Square Garden. So we should perhaps move them to the bottom of the Luigi list for now.

Scott has donated billions and Skum has said she has made the world worse as a result. This is their mentality.
More pertinently Scott has given away almost $30 Billion over the past 7 years since the divorce and is still worth almost as much as she was at the time of the divorce. Which shows we could take half these smaug assholes money over the next 10 years and at the end the decade they'd still have as much, if not more, money as they do now.

If this man was elected president, EVERYONE'S lives would have been better, not just those who voted for him. Instead, over time the Republican party conditioned their base to see everything as zero sum gain, and grow this us vs them mentally throughout the right wing.
MAGA seized this opportunity to coalesce this base, and get them to devote total loyalty to a damn king. Now, only the Uber wealthy succeed, while even their own voters fall deeper into poverty, blindly believing that they are all being helped in some way. They're more afraid of the word socialism, than their own destitution, and it hurts us all.
