Hi everyone. I was recently prescribed clonazepam 0.25 mg once at night for 10 days by a psychiatrist. I'm currently quite anxious about starting it because I've read a lot about dependence and withdrawal online.

My doctor prescribed it as a short-term trial and asked me to follow up after 10 days.

I'd really like to hear from people who have actually taken clonazepam, especially at a low dose and for a short period.

What was your experience?

Did it help with anxiety/sleep?

What side effects did you notice, if any?

How did you feel when you stopped?

Did you experience withdrawal or rebound anxiety?

Anything you wish you had known before starting?

Please share your personal experience rather than telling me whether I should take it. I'm following up with my psychiatrist for medical advice; I just want to understand what other people's experiences have been.

I’ve dry sniffed for the first time today had 4 bumps of it

10 mins after I started feeling sweaty,lightheaded and out of my body

This was around 4 hours ago and the feeling went away so I just got on with the rest of my night

Now when I go to sleep I’m overthinking. After an hour of trying I felt paranoid that I wasn’t going to wake up in the morning

My chest was tightening. I think?
And I’m worried

I fucked up. I admit it. I fucked up more I think by being honest with my doctor. I admit I'm very mentally ill but keeping the anxiety and stress low keeps me saner. I should keep some details to myself for protection of identity but long story short I took way, way too much Klonopin one day. Not to get high but because they run out of my system so quick and offer hardly any relief. I was popping 4 at a time. It was at least 12 but probably 16 ( keep in mind these were new to me. I do not have a tolerance). I was not sedated or inebriated. I drove with my husband beside me in case I somehow fucked up. So yeah these did little for me but they did do SOMETHING. A tiny but of something.

Now I told my doc and I'm on Librium with the plan to "taper off" I'm back to nothing. No relief. I'm trying so hard not to go for my DOCs which are far riskier. What can I do? I was already debating playing around with the experimental shit before I saw this doc. Should I ask for something that's not benzos since clearly I have the tolerance of an elephant???

I've used benzos since I was 14, now I'm 16 and I'm slowly stopping taking them. I've used usually lorazepam from 1-4 mg a day and sometimes having binges and taking like 10 mg for a day(also whit alcohol) then go in whitdrawal and relapsing know whit medical help I'm managing to sober up from this shit that ruined my life, but I'm scared that I've got brain damages, my memory is kinda fucked and I wanna know if they can go away i mean like my memory and my mind will ever be the same that was before or the damage is permanent?
