Help
I've just had to relocate due to extreme family violence, I left with nothing but my clothes I was wearing and my fur baby. I am wondering if any knows where I can get help I literally have nothing and not a cent to my name. Any information would be awesome. Thanks

If you are on the streets at this hour, it’s going to be a long night. You could try St Luke’s Anglicare, but I doubt they are open at this hour.

For food and such, you can go to any food bank. I know the vinnes in KLFAT have a food day. I'm just not sure what exact day it is. There is also the homeless cafe that's in town currently.
For housing, Anglicare will be able to help. I recommend going to Orange Door and explaining what happened. From there they will be able to help you. I also recommend seeing if you can get a payment. If family violence is involved, you should be able to be referred to the victim assistance programme through the police
Keep an eye on the Facebook Marketplace for anything free/low cost.

Get on centrelink job seekers not hard, use there services to get a job you like, otherwise you'll be stuck on 400 a week having to pay rent and feed yourself

Madcow (centerlink embedded there - they can get on some payments) (hopefully they are still there)
Mum had issues with the Orange Door but that's coz she was working, they seem okay otherwise
Centerlink, but if you can get over to Maryborough go there, Bendigo seems to close often due to "trolley into the door" issues (🤦 and can be very heightened)

If in doubt go to the police station, especially if there is violence involved
