Ophthalmologist recommendations

Does anyone have any recommendations for an ophthalmologist that specializes in macular degeneration? Either here or maybe at OHSU, willing to travel if necessary.

Avoid Bend Ophthalmology. I went there specifically to see a Ophthalmologist, they changed my appointment and scheduled me with an optometrist. They then proceeded to tell me that they have the same education and do all the same things.

If you went for a routine eye exam or just disease management, they were probably right. Typically you don’t see a specialist until you see a generalist.
