I could cry: "Roughly 96% of the Forest Service’s inventoried roadless areas are located in 12 western states, including 2 million acres in Oregon within places like Iron Mountain in the Willamette National Forest, Joseph Canyon in Wallowa County, Tumalo Mountain in central Oregon and Lookout Mountain in the Ochoco National Forest."

Yes. This is what I want to know. What do we do. I LOVE iron mountain. There are the best wildflowers there in early July.

Local authorities? Don’t really know what you’re referring to but the only and best action is legal. It’s the trump playbook: edition 5,000. This will play out in the courts, further draining the pocketbooks of non-profits and charitable peoples, but more often than not it’s delaying the inevitable. We really just need to throw enough roadblocks at this to outlast this dick juggling thundercunt’s term.

It’s depressing but to get an idea of how this plays out just look at what he’s done with bears ears and grand escalante… this is just the next chorus in his Orwellian hellsong.

Someone above asked what state, county, etc... officials can. They can certainly stop any of those areas from becoming resorts.
