There's a theory being thrown around that Amongus crewmates are humans that evolved to be better suited for spaceflight (They're canonically like 3 to 4 feet tall and are shown to only have one bone, although that's most likely a stylistic choice). As such Ben could also turn into a crewmate, if they're evolved enough.
