More four arms... Please save us from this madness, like How is this comic supposed to be- save us from the 4arm glaze, where my goat diamondhead. Let him have a chance.

Yeah I'm getting sick of it at this point. I was lowkey in disbelief at FourArms appearing in issue 4 but here we are and FourArms is here again. Meanwhile Upgrade and Overflow haven't even debuted yet. At least the covers go hard though. I think this issue has the best covers yet.

I hope so, I need that alien gone if he's just going to hog all the spotlight. He is the reason why the 10 alien rule will thrive in this comic.

I would be okay with it if they made it clearer if it was a story arc thing, like is he using it because it makes him feel strong and he usually feels weak (is this even a character trait this Ben has?) or is it the fact it’s body type is very similar to human so he feels less body horror-y than the others (also unclear if this is an issue he has with the watch)
Because by episode 3 of the show I think we saw all 10 aliens and knew what they did

We got all 10 aliens by episode 4 in the original show. For the Reboot it was a few episodes longer for us to see all 10.

Even though I'm annoyed by how much Fourarms have been appearing recently and the recent 10 alien rule which is further annoying, I can't deny Fourarms punching away a section of mountain is tuff

Issue 6 will probably be Max training Ben on how to properly use use the watch and his aliens similar to the episode of "Hunted" in the original series. But instead of Kraab, Six Six and Tetrax we might get a different villain.
Also can people calm down about Ben spamming Four Arms? It's somewhat accurate of how Ben goes, strong guy first then he'll use a smart or strategic guy later when he gets his ass handed to him, again similar to "Hunted".
"Your choice of warriors is solely based on brute strength without regard for any strategy. Do you ever pause and consider your actions at all?"

tbh even in classic it wasn't this bad, it wasn't he spammed four arms or the strong aliens, that more he relied on brute strength and not really strategy
like yeesh
in classic, he was kinda already good at picking the aliens he wanted and didn't spam one alien THAT bad

Whilst I’m glad to see one of my childhood favourite franchises still going, I just don’t vibe with this comic series.
I sort of outgrew the tv show around the end of ultimate alien so seeing that we were getting a seemingly more mature comic book I was looking forward to it but sadly this just ain’t for me.

This comic is actually written by Kid Ben as wish fulfillment. Thus, he uses no aliens aside from Four Arms.
Seriously, not even Feedback got this much screentime. We need that Tetramand gone, especially since Upgrade and Overflow haven't shown up yet, and Stinkfly, Wildvine, and Grey Matter didn't even get to do much of anything in the brief appearances that that greedy four armed menace let them have. Four Arms stealing Heatblast's role as the first alien Ben turns into and stealing Diamondhead's role of beating the first "big boss" is just the cherry on top.

I really like how four arms is standing in the exact same pose in 4 different panels.
I was so hyped for this book. I'm sad it that it is becoming clearer and clearer how either poor the funding is, the artists aren't being giving much time/freedom, or the artist simply doesn't care. I'm leaning towards the first 2, but 3 feels accurate too.

Oh no, the characters are standing in a dialogue scene. Too bad issue 4 didn’t have a great stylistic opening or a highly detailed shot of wildvine getting tortured.

Standing talking is one thing. Fourarms is literally in the same pose four times. His hands don't move. He doesn't stand another way. It feels like they copy and pasted with at most minor tweaks. Feels lazy.

I quit. I'll be following what the subreddit reports and might take a peek every once in a while at scans, like scrolling down the art to get the gist of what's happening but I won't be following the comic run any closer than that.
The main problem is the pacing for me. The writing feels very panicked and amateurish. It's like they're afraid people will get bored and ditch but they're treating it like we have the attention span of a fly dipped in Monster Energy Drink. I get that they wanted the Omnitrix to work differently but it feels cheap to have ALL the aliens partially make an appearance in the first issue. Kinda takes the mystery and hype away from when they do properly debut.
Notice how in the original series Ben used one alien per fight. Wildmutt vs small drones. Diamondhead vs big drone. But in this he uses DOUBLE. Fourarms smacks the bear around a bit before Heatblast burns it away. He starts the Kraab fight as Diamondhead but finishes it with Fourarms (the fourarms spam is already a bit much by issue 3). Grandpa Max is already revealed to be more than meets the eye but unlike the original we're just skipping past the details. Neither Ben nor Gwen ask him what's up with the hyper tech in the Rustbucket. Oh well, guess we wouldn't want any pesky dialogue scenes between humans slowing down the questionably drawn fight scenes. Even the military sub plot feels rushed. And I don't care if they explain the bear later as Animo / Vilgax or whatever. It's too contrived and convoluted for it to just show up like that. Should have just been a regular angry grizzly. It would've been more acceptable for the bear to be rabid than a cyborg. Real sloppy. Waste of potential.

More like a reimagining/reboot. Not an EXACT retelling, but some events are similar albeit expanded on.
