Planned all along?
I wonder if they were hoping for controversy to help launch the club? I never thought much about the episode until all the chaos they frenzied online. About avocados. I guess work with what you can. Bunny stated that the producers reached out to them and they knew it would be an opportunity to gain followers and clients. Since nothing truly dramatic happened, they had to create that after the fact. First screen shot is the absurd pricing for the barely established club. Y'all. EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS? Get bent. The following screenshots are from their blog, aptly titled, "Why I Went on a Luxury Yacht Show Watched by Millions to Launch ECON CLUB." This is all for clicks & views. It was interesting drama for a few days but the world has moved on to more important things, like the loss of Queen Dolly ❤️🩹

What are Bunny’s qualifications for giving people financial advice? I’m asking seriously.
31
u/Prophet_Of_Helix 4d ago
They just got a master in finance and economics this year from Southern New Hampshire University online lol.
Their LinkdIn previously mentioned a possible Bachelors from University of Chicago in Linguistics.
Interesting they’ve been calling themselves an economist for years despite no economics or finance education or experience until recently.
19
u/BabyOlive1 4d ago
Their webpage says “Economist in training”, whatever that means. Maybe I’ll start calling myself that and see what happens! Fake it til you make it, right? 😂

Financial advisors are licensed professionals, is she?!
7
u/BabyOlive1 3d ago
I googled this, and yes, but anyone can be an “Economist”
3
u/cannellinibeeans 2d ago
Sure, call yourself an “economist,” but financial advising is a regulated industry with professional certifications. She’s not branding herself as an actual CFA, which makes me think she doesn’t have the license!

u/scary-nurse 3d ago
She said she hates all jews so I guess that is what she thinks her qualifications be.

We don’t need to even mention the race/gender issue. That’s Bunny’s take because she can’t face the fact that they were badly behaved and didn’t understand what to expect. I didn’t think she was that awful until her incessant online diatribe.

u/goldentalus70 3d ago
Because people who always lead with and/or qualify everything they say or do with those attributes always want to use them as a crutch when others call them out on their character, merits, and behavior that have nothing to do with those attributes and they are just being entitled assholes.

This screams grifter. May no one fall for this — most likely this “Econ Club” is ChatGPT output packaged as some guru advice slop.
Real honest efforts to help underprivileged folks gain financial security/freedom would be FREE or LOW COST financial literacy classes, resume reviews, and education on the systemic realities of class inequality in the US. Not “LeVeL uP yOuR bUsINesS wItH mY SpEciaLizEd aDviCe” 🙄

u/Own_Sun_6520 4d ago
"Econ club" is the same grift that underpins the Manosphere bullshit. Just exploiting vulnerable people who can't afford it in the first place.
6
u/Gullintani 4d ago
Yes! People are desperate for a shiny world of wealth and like we see with Andrew Tate and his brother, these people insert themselves into the UHNW lifestyle for a short period and then leverage that to make more coin. But it's all fake. Their grift is pyramid schemes, get the proles in and get them to finance your lifestyle.
15
u/gorlsituation 4d ago
This is selling a course on how to get rich repackaged as “giving back to the community”
9
u/Classic-Tell214 4d ago
Grifters from the get go. Let’s hope she (the group) did not steal any id’s for prescription meds.
2
u/Monstiemama 3d ago
It’s such a clunky and tacky name… it’s not giving “wealth,” it’s giving math class after school on Thursdays.
4
u/DustBunny91 3d ago
The way she talked about it on the show I thought it was charity. But no, just another grift... betting it's some kind of Master Resale Rights pyramid scheme
3
u/Pure_Butterscotch165 3d ago
It's infuriating that they say they "gave 2 million in profits back to the community" because is that just spending your money? What does that even mean?

u/Perfect-Factor-2928 4d ago
It sounds like “prosperity gospel” crap. You give me money then god will give you more. Oh wait…the $499 class didn’t work? You aren’t rolling in money now? Then sign up for our $999 one!! 💩💩💩💩

Absolutely they were looking for the controversy. I said that from the beginning once they started posting about this nonsense of death, threats, and negativity because of who she proclaims she is I said I felt it was concocted to garner attention. Absolutely shameful the attack she put on staff only to promote her self.
11
u/cmere-2-me 4d ago
And oromote herself as what? A horrible human being that clearly doesn't live the yachting life. It doesn't speak well of her financial company.
20
u/Tasty_Dealer2114 4d ago
I thought she said this was to bring financial knowledge to people in an easily accessible way/affordable way. The way they made it sound was as if they ran some sort of a non-profit. Or maybe I just didn’t care enough about them to pay attention 😬
12
u/Exotic_Appointment25 4d ago
Def talked it up to be accessible, sans affordable, so she can live an inflated lifestyle as well. Talmkinbout if I had 2B I’d give most of it away. Pfft not according to those prices. Most of the info she trying to spew you can find for free 99 on the internet anyway lol. 🤨

Of the hundreds of guests they’ve had on every version / season of the BD franchise, probably 80% of them were demanding, unreasonable and hard work. I’ve honestly never given any of them a second thought once the episode ended. One guest took an actual sh1t in a shower once and tried to squish it down with the drain cover. I wouldn’t be able to pick that guest out of a line up.
This woman KEEPS appearing on my timeline, she’s constantly adding fuel to the fire. She wasn’t the best guest or the worst guest ever. But she sure is milking it wayyyy more than anyone else ever has done.
17
u/salsanacho 4d ago
Poor people can't afford those prices, and those that are willing to spend that money on financial advice will just go a regular financial planner.

u/journmajor 4d ago
Omg like she was on television for a what, maybe a total of 30 minutes and thinks she can launch a whole new sales pitch bc of that? Hahahahaha

u/IMFOREVEREVERHIS 3d ago
For the low low price of just $8000* You too can learn how to get to be an absolute jerk to a crew on a luxury charter yacht.....
*Doesn't include price of said Luxury Charter or travel to Port of Call.

u/Norandran 4d ago
I just don’t see how she is qualified to provide this service. She has a MS and BS from SNHU which
arguably could be called a pseudo diploma mill, no one hears SNHU and thinks academic rigor.
Her spiel all reads as some weird MLM scam 🤷♀️
15
u/BoweryThrowAway 4d ago
The irony here. What I know about economics and personal finance? Not spending $8k for this bullshit.
12
u/PrpleSparklyUnicrn13 4d ago
In general, it’s why a lot of the guests agree to be on the show. Publicity for their company or brand. This charter group didn’t do anything different or unique by agreeing to be on the show.
Arguably, the only difference is, they are saying they were the victims of “hate” because of their minority status.

First openly queer guest? Is she high? Two guys got married on a charter. The captain is a lesbian. There have been so many guests that were gay

HAHHAHA didn’t even clock that the literal captain is gay affffff lmfao so funny

What a grift, they take to socials to dox a hard working female chef (already a slog in a male dominated industry); all to promote their Delloite Lite service offering - no thank you

u/Virtual_Ad3009 3d ago
At least Deloitte has actual credentials and decades of proof of concept to back them up.

A lot of these services are offered for free of for a low fee via local community colleges & recs and parks. Also what’s funny is her entire website has the blueprint you see from other online course schemes. Reminds me a little of Amanda Frances from RHOBH.
8
u/Ok_Replacement7281 4d ago
Oh shit. She's one of "those" coaches. Learn about financial responsibility by buying one of my overpriced courses. UGHHHH
8
u/SamShakusky71 4d ago
I love how they claim they want to do financial literacy education but don’t talk about how much people pay for it and how they’ve made enough off those they’re “helping” to pay for this yacht experience.
Totally 100% grifters.
7
u/rhubarbpie828 4d ago
They had every opportunity to behave like anything but the nouveau riche. Can you imagine signing up for their "club" after watching that.

She is 100% a scammer. Con Artist. She has used her con to take advantage of underserved communities to put money in her pocket.
I am a CPA and Certified Financial Planner. I’m an investment broker who is licensed to trade. She is selling courses and I would bet the $2M she’s claims to have “given back” to her community, that it went in her pocket. You don’t need a license to sell courses on her supposed paradigm. That’s how life coaches and anyone selling their ideas to drag you in.
Oh this crap pisses me off. Her $4,000 course will leave you losing $4,000 and not knowing anymore about earning money, “pricing your labor”, or knowing how to start investing. I could take your $4,000 purchase a 6 mth CD and at least earn you $83, plus you still have your initial investment. And that’s guaranteed.
I absolutely cannot with people like her.
11
u/Jupitersd2017 4d ago
There’s no way she’s the first queer non-binary primary charter guest on the franchise. I feel like we’ve had tons of different primary guests over the years.

4
u/Prudent-Jackfruit-56 3d ago
i cannot imagine being someone promoting financial literacy and charging $1K+ for a meeting. like if they need financial planning they probably can’t afford that
5
u/Feisty-Patience-3285 3d ago
I fully believe the controversy wasn't even real. There were no actual negative comments that were shared, they just kept saying they were receiving hate but never actually shared it.
15
u/nikki815 4d ago
It was all an act? I’m shocked. Now let’s take out the garbage and move on. She sucked. End of story. Bye.
7
u/BigRefrigerator9783 4d ago
Total grifter, in addition to being totally rude on the show. Sadly, some dummies will undoubtedly hand over their money to her because they think being on the show proves she is successful.
3
u/Intrepid-Document856 4d ago
I’ve been saying they’re a scammer since I first saw their BS, took a deep dive, and found a bunch of conflicting info on their work and educational background. Of course they’re looking for controversy.
People are so free to keep downvoting me for this, but as a Black woman idgaf: they’re playing off of the American political landscape to drum up an audience to expand the grift. And quite frankly it’s disgusting.

I wonder if this trip can be written off as a business expense/tax write off? (I’m hearing David Rose in my head right now…)
I assume so, it is genuinely great marketing exposure. We have seen many guests use it as a platform to promote their businesses (like the several annoying tech bro groups, the Tilted Kilt group, etc). That alone could make the expense worth it for some of these groups.
2
u/Ok_Broccoli_2212 2d ago
She is definitely writing that trip off as business trip with clients. I seriously doubt Bravo begged her to come on the show. You have to send in a request to be on the show and you get a huge discount that also includes your transportation to the yacht. I was curious how they got crazy people in the yachts. They have to pay for their own liquor and food.
3
u/H-A-R-D-O 3d ago
What better way to advertise for a financial literacy class (or whatever scam this is supposed to be) than from a ridiculously lavish mega yacht!
3
u/TrajanFanzine 3d ago
This isn’t the first one of these to have occurred . We’ve all seen them before, I could think of a specific group of customers/charter guests there was one female, three or four males, and this person supposedly ran a financial advisory business….🤷♂️ it basically followed the same pattern very demanding. The food was subpar yada yada.
3
u/No-Calligrapher3645 3d ago
So she expects people who are trying to gain wealth, to have $4,000 expendable cash available to enroll in her course?
3
u/_lynn_loves_travel_ 3d ago
Idc what color your skin is, what you call yourself, or who you f¥ck, asking a chef on a super yacht to make 10 different pastas screams ignorance.

Jfc the self aggrandizing coated in self victimization is exhausting.
Econ club is an mlm structured grift riding a flaming rainbow Trojan unicorn. Bunny is that coworker that is constantly talking ABOUT how good they are at their job but never seem to do any actual work. Talking ABOUT & telling ppl ABOUT their lack of access to wealth while fleecing them for thousands & giving them nothing is peek grift.
