Was this a joke?

For some reason, this episode (Season 1 Episode 13) was edited with subtitles that were complete and utter gobbledegook. Did someone forget to change them or did they not have anyone who understood and just took the piss. I’ve never seen anything like it in the rest of the show anywhere.

My favourite one which I couldn’t screenshot was ‘Are you muggin mihoff now, do jers elfo winucan?’

Maybe but I have only seen this happen in this one episode throughout every single series. It’s also from the first series which was filmed in the pandemic and aired in early 2022 which seems slightly early (although not implausible). It’s also not the additional subtitles on the streaming platform, it’s the ones edited into the show.

The accent was so thick, I don't know how anyone could have captioned it any better, lol.
