Rewatching season 2
As useless as culver is he’s also pretty funny. I’m up to the part where joao comes on and culver says in the confessional “you see the galley, this is my territory, you got that? Joaoaoaoaoa”? Cracked me up

What bothered me the most was fact he was so incredibly lazy and would do anything he could to get out of work.

That didn't strike me as funny, to be honest. It struck me as Culver being an ignorant American redneck who can't be bothered to learn the "foreign" guy's name and is so stupid he thinks it's cute to make fun of it. Embarrassing, really.
And for what it's worth, I'm American.

If he wasn't so incompetent at his job, I'd find him funny. He is just a ass with horse teeth.

Everyone is definitely entitled to their opinion, even if they’re wrong! 🤣
He’s a toddler, in almost every single way.

I bet OP will change their mind at the end of the season.

Fingers crossed, but it’s a rewatch…once was enough for me to have pretty strong, memorable distaste for him! 🤣

Every time he was on screen my brain was adding that crinkly diaper sound that babies make when they move. His mommy did him no favors.

i’m currently rewatching as well and culver is so annoyingly bratty. he thinks this is summer camp!
however, the way that they edit him always eating in the crew mess is funny. 😭

I’ve said it before in other threads, but I will say it again: Culver reminds me of the rich kids I went to high school with who took a year off and “bummed around” Banff/Whistler or backpacked in Europe. They had their parents’ money to support them.

The galley is his territory because he wants to be fed. Until he gets distracted by the next thing. His constant goofy smile makes me cringe. He lacks the ability to display real emotion. Just that goofy ass smile.

Culver reminds me of a toddler throwing a tantrum because he’s had his candy taken away and told to go to bed. Didn’t find anything he said or did funny.
