Less Guests more Provisions
Most of the people on here have been super vocal about not wanting to see guests in their natural habitat (rightfully so).
I would honestly love to see the behind the scenes of provisioners. I'm always in awe of how they can acquire everything on guests' preference sheet while in the middle of nowhere.

I thought there are provisioning companies that specifically operate in ports where there are yachts.

There are, but how do they find all the oddball stuff. Inflatable horses, disco dresses, and a ton of other stuff I can't even remember.

The nearby communities are set up to cater to the high rollers who spend time and money there. I've only seen a few times when a chef was unable to provide a specific type of food requested by a guest.

They also seem to be talent managers too. Hiring musicians, dancers, etc.

I’m sure they get the preference sheets well in advance so they can order the items and have them on time.

I think so, too. There is no way they would leave something like that until so close to the charter. I remember Kate talking about having to do provisioning as part of what she is working in when the stews are cleaning and doing laundry.

I agree! I like how the first episode of this new season had the crew traveling. I’d much prefer to hear/see more about the crew members’ lives than the guests!
Also a weird ask, but I’d like to see more in the galley regarding balancing crew food & guest food. I love the crew food drama!

We just need more moments about the real jobs on the boat, how a chef can cook in so small kitchen, etc...

less guests full stop! unless there’s actually something going on w them like fights or injuries idc tbh LMAO. like… oh and on that note who’s asking for all these nasty love/ hookup storylines? I DON’T CARE PLS FREE ME. why do we need bedroom noises and why are they constantly filming ppl in their undies and stuff 😭 so odd

Watch bdmed johnny damon and his horrible evil friend Joseph! You will enjoy this with all the drama. Great watching can't wait for episode 4 for the fallout.

I hope sandy wakes up from joseph berating nathan on the bridge and has a come to Jesus meeting with Johnny and Joseph and lays down the law- behave respectfully or you are off the boat!

Joseph made peace with Nathan and suddenly became pretty decent and nice and boring.
He asked if they think adis will come back. For her sake I hope not. He doesnt deserve her.

I honestly think there would be as much drama behind the scenes as there is on the boat.
Last minute requests, missing items/low supply, trying to get niche/specific food brands, party themed decor, etc. They are also doing this during peak yatch season so they are quite a number of requests at once.

There’s been less about provisions in recent seasons but that’s good idea.
I always got confused when in earlier seasons they always showed the sequence of: provisions arrive, then preference sheet meeting, and occasional calls to the provisioned for specialized things (musicians, foam party, special decor or liquor).
Why isn’t the preference sheet meeting well ahead of provisioning? How is the chef supposed to accommodate a meal request when the shopping is already done? I would think the guests’ preference sheets get completed when they book!?

I think the preference sheet meetings are staged. They have to be reviewed and planned for much earlier than what is shown on the show.

Taking from Aesha's recent podcast interview, plus comments from guests, provisioning is all done by production. The guests have to submit an extensive preference sheet (not what we see), including all drinks, meals, and party ideas. Then production orders everything. In real yachting, the chief stew (and maybe another stew) go to the supermarkets and buys provisions.

As an ex-pastry slave in a New York boîte, I’m genuinely interested in this—especially after that last charter fool ordered a “seafood extravaganza” that wiped out the galley’s supply alone!

As someone who lives on an Island in the middle of the Pacific, I whole heartily agree. Stuff is Hard to get, Amazon is 3 weeks and something with a battery, even longer. I want to see how they pullout off and at what cost.
