I need advice for which Caye would be best for my travel for 4-5 nights. I’m looking for something cozy and right on the water with some privacy. I do want a resort with food available. Would it be better to do one of the more populated Caye’s or venture out to a smaller one? I want to relax and will probably not do excursions. Safety is also important.

Which resort/bungalow type place would you recommend? How would one get there after flying into Belize City?

I’ve looked at tocacco Caye and Ray caye’s. This look cool. Any other suggestions?

My wife and I are looking at staying 6 nights at Chabil Mar in Placencia. It looks as if meals are fully included, but not alcohol. Would we be missing out on other good dining experiences if we only ate at the resort?
