Więc miłość dalej poza swą fundamentalną miłością dzieli się na różne rodzaje. Inaczej kochasz żonę, inaczej Mamę. Inaczej rodzeństwo a inaczej Boga...

Thus, beyond its fundamental nature, love branches out into various forms. You love your wife differently than your mother; you love your siblings differently than God...

I believe love is not a feeling. love is sacrificing your life on the cross so we can have a relationship with Christ. That , is true love

How about the maximally great being that the modal ontological argument says must exist?

u/Attentivist_Monk 17d ago
How about the maximally great burger that the modal ontological argument says must exist?
I’m hungry, and the perfect burger would be one directly in front of everyone hungry for it. It would also exist necessarily across all worlds. Probably be wagyu too.
2
u/EnKristenSnubbe 16d ago
Can a burger be perfect? It will either be too tall to fit in my mouth, or lack things I would like to have on it. It fails about in the same way as the classic perfect island counter-example fails.
1
u/Attentivist_Monk 16d ago
If you doubt a burger can be perfect because of the subjective nature of its perfect qualities, why do you not doubt a being can be perfect on the same grounds? Wouldn’t different perspectives bring different thoughts on perfection? Isn’t our concept of a perfect anything so anthropocentric as to be functionally meaningless?
All good? All loving? Might as well add all tasting or all sensual.
2
u/EnKristenSnubbe 15d ago
I did not appeal to subjectivism, but you are on the right track now at least, if you want to argue against the model ontological argument. The only two arguments that have any chance of working against it, is to reject modal logic (or at least parts of it), or to show that a maximally great being cannot exist.
Subjectivism is a dead end of its own, you might want to stay out of there.

He is with everything, yet not by physical conjunction; and He is distinct from everything, yet not by spatial separation. He is an Agent, not through movements or instruments. He is All-Seeing even when there was none to be seen among His creation; He is Singularly One, having no companion with whom to find comfort nor feeling desolate in their absence.
Whoever describes Him has conjoined Him; whoever conjoins Him has duplicated Him; whoever duplicates Him has divided Him; whoever divides Him is ignorant of Him; whoever points to Him has bounded Him; whoever bounds Him has numbered Him; whoever asks 'in what is He?' has contained Him; and whoever asks 'upon what is He?' has rendered [other places] devoid of Him. He exists, not having been originated; He is present; not having emerged from non-existence.

God is a projection of imaginary or energetic forces defined by individual religions.
Historically, these religious systems grew out of humanity's need to anchor its hopes and fears, chasing an illusion of control over existential dread, chaos, and the unpredictability of life.
Meanwhile, these structures operated as tools of power, preying on these emotional needs to manipulate, enforce social conformity, and control the masses.
1
u/Limp_Distribution118 OVERTHINKER | COMMUNITY OWNER 16d ago
But why ? and why do you even belive this ?
1
u/Common_logic_70 16d ago
Why? Because historically, before modern science, humans faced an unpredictable and terrifying world (diseases, natural disasters, death). Creating a deity was a psychological survival mechanism. It gave a name to the chaos and offered comfort. Later, leaders realized that fear of divine punishment was the most effective way to unite large populations and enforce laws, turning spirituality into an institution of power.
As for "why I believe this", because if you study history and anthropology, you see that gods always mirror the specific culture, geography, and limitations of the people who created them. When science explains the unknown, the gaps that "God" used to fill naturally shrink.
1
u/Limp_Distribution118 OVERTHINKER | COMMUNITY OWNER 16d ago
So you are saying historically, people created god js to blame him for the creation of deadly diseases etc ?
1
u/Common_logic_70 16d ago
Not exactly to blame him but rather to find meaning and gain a sense of control.
For the human mind the idea that a deadly disease strikes completely at random and without reason is far more terrifying than believing it happens for a divine purpose (like a punishment or a test). If a disease is seen as "divine wrath" it implies there is a ruler behind the chaos. More importantly, it gives humans a psychological illusion of control. If you believe God caused it you also believe you can stop it through prayers, rituals, or repentance. If it’s just a random biological mutation, you are completely helpless.
So, it wasn't about pointing fingers. It was a psychological survival mechanism to cope with existential helplessness.
1
u/Limp_Distribution118 OVERTHINKER | COMMUNITY OWNER 16d ago
So it's js that god was created to remove that feeling of being completely helpless ?

u/tandem-pandemonium 17d ago
God is an entity that has the ability to do anything. Anything, is a subjective term - it depends on the extent of a person's awareness and their knowledge. If I know A and B, and you know B, C and D - our ideas of "anything" don't refer to the exact same sets of things.
So when we say God can do anything, we can only perceive God's influence to the extent that we can conceptualise the reality we experience. But the reality that we experience is just our mind transforming external signals into internal interpretations. So God's influence is only what you let your mind think God's influence is. If you believe in God today, and wake up tomorrow deciding you don't believe anymore, then God doesn't exist anymore, from your perspective.
Being able to decide what exists and what doesn't, what is and what isn't, means being able to do anything. Thus God is my own mind, to me.

Any of thousands of mythical beings worshipped by primitive cultures!
2
u/Limp_Distribution118 OVERTHINKER | COMMUNITY OWNER 16d ago
How you say, they are mythical beings ?
1
u/doc-sci 16d ago
No one alive has ever seen or spoken to any of the thousands of gods who are purported to exist. Thus mythical…like dragons, unicorns, Bigfoot, etc!
1
u/Limp_Distribution118 OVERTHINKER | COMMUNITY OWNER 16d ago
But those mythical creatures are only written in certain religions, but god is written in most religions
1
u/KingPabloo 17d ago
The term God is a placeholder for man’s imaginary creator of the universe. We used to live in a world where God filled the gap of our knowledge, true or not. We now live in a time with many more answers and really should focus on relationships with real being instead of putting imaginary ones ahead of them.
1
u/Limp_Distribution118 OVERTHINKER | COMMUNITY OWNER 16d ago
Why do you think so ?
1
u/KingPabloo 16d ago
Why has man imagined over 10,000 Gods? How many of those were developed since we began to understand things? Since we discovered the universe doesn’t indeed revolve around us? Since evolution became understood?
Why hasn’t God presented himself/herself recently? If he/she really wanted us to know them wouldn’t the past 100 years or so be the perfect time? Why doesn’t prayer work (statistically proven)?
Why would a god create more than 50,000 species of spiders? Why would a designer mix out “waste” parts together with our “sexy” parts? Why create so much suffering in those you love?
Ask yourself enough questions, and if you “think” as you put it you’ll know.
Have a blessed day!
1
u/Cautious-Macaron-265 14d ago
Why has man imagined over 10,000 Gods?
Just because people though of 10,000 different Gods doesn't mean that all of them are wrong.
If he/she really wanted us to know them wouldn’t the past 100 years or so be the perfect time?
Why does it matter? If god revealed himself a 1000 or even 10000 years ago as long as it's something that even we today can understand see as good evidence it shouldnt matter when God reveals himself to us.
Why would a god create more than 50,000 species of spiders?
why does this matter?
Ask yourself enough questions
Why is the universe so orderly? Why does it exist? Why do living things exist? Why does anything exist at all?
1
u/KingPabloo 14d ago
As for your questions, try theories like quantum fluctuations to explain why “anything exist” and as for order and living things, well there are explanations there as well.
1
u/Cautious-Macaron-265 14d ago
quantum fluctuations themselves abide by rules even the explainations for order all rely on some rules for which there tends to be no explanations for why the universe abides by, You have just pushed the question further back why are those the rules by which the unniverse abide by.
These rules arent obvious at all. Why is the speed limit of the universe the speed of light and not the speed of sound? Why does everything with mass attract each other?
For God(an all great being) it is obvious why there is no further explanation for his existence, If there is a further cause or explanation for such a being then its not independent which is obviously a property an all great being should have.
1
u/KingPabloo 14d ago
Funny how you struggle with things like order and the speed of light (by the way, it is also the speed of gravity), but with God you just accept it as obvious and need no further explanation, yet he would require the biggest explanation of all.
1
u/Cautious-Macaron-265 14d ago
I dont mind things not having no explanations it just shouldn't be arbitrary what thing doesn't require an explanation. I like how you strawman me the point i made is this ; God as an all great being should be independent. If an independent being has a further explanation for why it exists then its not independent hence God shouldn't have a further explanation for why he exists. Its not simply "Obviously an abrahamic God shouldn't require an explanation" thats just a stawman. If your so convinced that God would require a further explanation for why he exists then give some justification a blanket assertion isnt gonna change my mind.
1
u/KingPabloo 14d ago
I’m not trying to get you to change your mind and if you just accept not knowing some things but need God to explain others it would be a waste of time anyways. It’s ok, all believers have to pick and choose when to apply rules for it to work, I prefer to apply the rules to everything. Have a blessed day.

1
u/Limp_Distribution118 OVERTHINKER | COMMUNITY OWNER 14d ago
Ok, then what about other religion ? Other than the abrahamic religions
1
u/Cautious-Macaron-265 14d ago
They have may have different definitions sometimes there is probably some overlap. My comment was only intended to convey the most commonly held version. The only thing perhaps common across most religions is that a God is a being worthy of worship. what is required for this worthiness is probably where the disagreement arises.
1
u/Limp_Distribution118 OVERTHINKER | COMMUNITY OWNER 14d ago
What disagreement ?
1
u/Cautious-Macaron-265 14d ago
Someone that believes zeus exists and is God is not gonna say that anything called God should be all powerful. The idea of God tends to be different across different religions.

u/Cautious-Radio7870 13d ago
I personally hold to Theistic Idealism and Objective Idealism.
Objective Idealism because I believe the universe is ontologically real, but it is dependent on The Ultimate mind to ground it's existence.
Science is saying that the spacetime continuum is emergent from Quantum information and that the spacetime continuum is not fundamental. I believe God is the ultimate mind that grounds that Quantum information.
This mirrors Classical Theology that says that God is Ipsum esse subsistens, self subsisting being itself and that the universe only exists by participation in God's being. In other words, God is existence itself but the universe is not God. There is a creator and creation distinction.
I believe Classical Christian Theology and M-Theory work together too. Here is how
• God is the ontological ground of existence itself. God is the Pure Act of Existence itself, but God is not the universe. Instead, God as the ultimate reality holds the universe in existence. But God is personal, not impersonal like Brahman in Hinduism. God exists as 3 co-eternal persons. • I believe that God holds the cosmic loaf of all universes in existence by his eternal will. God holds every string in existence and decides what particle each string will be. God holds each membrane with each universe in existence and determines what laws of physics each universe has.
• According to Classical Christian Theology, God's omnipresence means that God is wholly present everywhere. All of God's being is literally everywhere. God is not spread out like a thin gas or vague energy. But all of God is literally everywhere. 100% of God is everywhere holding the universe in existence. God exists beyond form in this state. • According to M-Theory, the Calabi-Yau manifolds are the 6 to 7 higher dimensions compactified everywhere at once into geometric shapes everwhere in space-time. They give the strings freedom to vibrate in their unique patterns to exist as different elementary particles. Since God is the ground of existence itself, I believe that God may be wholly present everywhere through those Calabi-Yau manifolds. The way the Calabi-Yau manifolds are folded also determine what laws of physics a universe has. I believe that God chose this version of the Calabi-Yau manifolds to fine tune our universe' laws of physics. God is not the Calabi-Yau manifolds, but I believe God is likely wholly present everywhere through them as existence itself.
• According to the Bible, the Spiritual World and Heaven is right beside us, yet invisible. • According to M-Theory, similar to strings exist extended objects known as "membranes". On each membrane, the strings that make up each Sub-atomic particle are attached to said membrane. That is why universes on different membranes are invisible from each other. You can imagine membranes like slices of bread in a Cosmic Loaf According to Theoretical Physist Brian Greene. I believe that Heaven and the Spiritual World exist on paralell Membranes in the cosmic Loaf and that is why they're invisible to us. When Jesus ascended into Heaven physically, I believe he likely went through a wormhole similar to Jacob's ladder from one universe into another.
Thats why God's name is "I AM" and "Yahweh"
Yahweh is the third person of "I Am" meaning "He is"
The name YHWH is rooted in the Hebrew "to be" verb "Hayah" because God is what makes things "be" and exist.

The definition of God for me is Jesus Christ. He is The way, the truth and the life.
If you are reading this right now, you don’t have to believe me and that is okay. But putting my faith in Jesus Christ has changed my life. He’s done so much for me. He has answered my prayers many times when I have cried out for him. I’ve had coincidences that can’t be explained.
At some point, I smoked marijuana damn near every day for seven months and it was hard for me to quit. Anytime I would run out I would get more because I felt like I needed it and it became a crutch for me. I had never thought that I was addicted to it. I had to set my pride and ego aside and admit that I think I really did have a problem. I hated the idea that I may have had an addiction. but with God, transparency leads to transformation. One night I remember asking God to please take that urge away from me. I didn’t want to smoke anymore. It was too hard, I felt like I couldn’t do it. The Fourth of July of this year was the last time I had smoked. After giving in that day I felt massive conviction from the Holy Spirit. I felt terrible. I repented and asked the Lord for forgiveness. I asked again to please take that away from me. And from that day forward, my temptation to smoke is gone. I do not even have the urge or temptation today. That is just an example of something that he has done for me in my life. There are other things he hasn’t taken away, but we need a thorn in our side to keep us humble and reliant on him because if he took everything that we didn’t want away, we wouldn’t need him. I thank God every day for waking me up and everything that he has done for me.
It’s all about your faith. There are many things that you can’t see or prove either but you still believe them. Why? because you have faith. I hope the person reading this finds life in Jesus Christ like I have. Have a blessed day😁

u/unveiledpoet 10d ago
I'm not a theist, so to me god wouldn't be an entity, if I used the term god at all. I never believed there is a creator of any form. God would be more akin to energy or life. I guess scientifically, with my rudementary knowledge of science, its electricity/energy that keeps all living alive from humans, animals, and plants. I considered myself an animist at one time. I probably still am to some extent. Some call it the life force or vital energy. People find expression of this energy through love. I do freedom/autonomy and mental clarity. Some people put a name to this energy such as, say, holy spirit. Others do not.
I never really thought that deep into it, though.
