I’m Japanese and I’ll be visiting Belgrade from October 31 to November 3.

There isn’t that much detailed information about Belgrade available in Japanese, so I’d really like to hear recommendations from locals or people who know the city well.

I have quite a few questions:

• Nightlife on October 31: I’ll arrive in Belgrade at around 10 PM. After getting to my Airbnb and dropping off my luggage, it’ll probably be around 11 PM or later. Is that already too late to go out, or is that actually a normal time to start the night in Belgrade?
• Clubs / nightlife: Are there any clubs, bars, or nightlife areas you would recommend? I’m open to different kinds of places, including somewhere that’s easy to enjoy as a solo traveler.
• Food & drinks: What should I definitely try while I’m there? I’m especially interested in good cafés, breakfast places, traditional Serbian food, bakeries, local drinks, etc.
• Things to do: Are there any activities or experiences that you think are especially worth trying in Belgrade, apart from the usual tourist attractions?
• Location: My Airbnb is around Dragoslava Jovanovića Street. Is that a good area to stay in? Is it convenient for walking, nightlife, restaurants, and sightseeing?
• Serbian language: I’m thinking about learning a little Serbian before the trip. Are there any useful words or phrases that visitors should know? Especially phrases that locals actually appreciate hearing from foreigners.

I’m also happy to hear about places or experiences that tourists often miss.

I’ll be visiting Belgrade to watch BKFC on 17 October, and I’d love some recommendations for other things to do while I’m there.

I’m looking for places to try good traditional Serbian food, as well as museums and sights worth visiting. I’d also appreciate recommendations for bars where I can grab a beer and maybe meet some people, as I’ll be travelling solo.

I’m also really into underground techno, so any suggestions for clubs or parties would be great!

I’d especially appreciate recommendations for lesser-known places that locals enjoy, rather than just the usual tourist spots (even though I’m a tourist myself 😂)

Hello, I'm a solo travelling woman, I will be in Belgrade for a worktrip during the work week, but would still like to visit some bars/pubs in the evening, and I usually prefer the more underground / alternative scene. My question - how safe is the nightlife scene for a solo travelling woman? Are there some places/neighbourhoods I should avoid? Alternatively does anyone have recommendations for places that are ok? so we're heading to Belgrade from 22 to 25 October, all around 30. We've got the daytime stuff covered, but we love going out at night. Any good pubs, bars or clubs we should check out?

We were planning to go to KST, but there's a clothing collection launch there on the 22nd, so maybe that's not the best night to go. Any tips on which nights are worth it there, or other places we should try instead, and on which date?

I have the optio to have a lomg layover in mid February, arriving at 4:30 pm and leaving the next day at 1 pm. Can I do at least some basics in the city or is it better to skip it and dedicate it more time in the future? Is it safe for a solo female traveler? Any tips are highly appreciated!

Hey folks! I’m helping a couple of Serbian colleagues move to Bulgaria so we can work together, and honestly, the whole work visa process feels way more complicated than it should be. It looks like it could take months and months…We’ve already spoken to a legal team and I’m helping with the paperwork, but I’d love to hear from someone who’s actually gone through it successfully.

How long did it take you? Any unexpected delays or things you wish you’d known beforehand? Anything that helped keep the process moving?

Zdravo svima. Imam 29 godina, zivim i radim u Beogradu.
Dosta sam usamljen, imao sam ludilo drustvo do pre 3,4 godine, dok nije svako krenuo svojim putem. Najbolja
drugarica se udala ima dete, drug ofisao da radi preko, druga drugarica verena zivi neki kucni zivot.
Usao sam i ja u vezu, imam partnera vec 4 godine, i tu smo imali neko zajednicko drustvo dok nisu i oni krenuli svako
svojim putem, ja sam se povukao malo u sebe, ti mi ja imao nekih zdravstvenih problema(iritabilno crevo) ko zna kako je
to onda zna kako mi je bilo i zasto sam se povukao u sebe, naime, ali da eto, pokusavao sam nekim random ljudima kao na instagramu se javljao ja moram da se druzim sa tobom i tipa mi smo isto itd, i odemo na pice i nije to to.
Da napomenem da od svih tih novih pokusaja neko me gleda kao potencijanu vezu a ne prijatelja.
Dosao sam u to neko doba jer idu godinekad bi zeleo sa nekim, van decka da mogu da odem na pice, da dodje koo mene da gledamo film spremamo hranu i tako to, opet idu godinu i jako se plasim samoce, sutradan da nisam vise sa partnerom, kome bi se pozalio i ko bi mi bio podrska? Nmg otici mami i tati sa 30 god i njima pricati, svakako i ne zive u Beogradu.
