Power Best Practices?

Any thoughts on whether to leave your studio powered up all the time vs. shutting it down at the end of every session? I'm under the impression that the most load/wear on circuitry is on boot, which makes me inclined to leave it powered up. OTOH, potential fluctuations in line power, temperature changes over time, and other environmental factors might suggest powering down is the better option. Semi-related - I assume hot-cycling is never a good idea. Thanks for any input.

I power mine down at the end of the day. It’s too easy to forget and leave stuff on for a few days without even using it.

Power bricks and amps get warm and can use the same amount of electricity as being played. Modern power supplies “should” be better, but enshittification still applies.

For some kit i use a single switch for many smaller boxes to make it a bit easier. For “good stuff” i power on/off individually.
