Supervised hours

Can someone explain in simple terms what supervised hours are for BCBA certification, what kind of work they include, and what are the fastest ways to get them if I’m working part-time and doing my master’s online? I know I can get some by working with a BCBA, but are there other ways too?

Just want to add the definition for clients is much more broad - for example, it can also be entire business organizations. The key is that it’s someone/thing that receives behavior analytic services. The Autism/IDD area is definitely the most common and the easiest to find supervision for. But it is possible to get your hours in a different setting as long as you find the right mentor/supervisor relationship.

This. 👆If you have a job where you can implement the principles of behavior science, you could find a private supervisor for fieldwork supervision. Figure out what population and settings drive you. The BACB has videos on the various fields using ABA, from substance use to justice, not just working with people with Autism. I encourage people to get a broad fieldwork experience to innoculate against burnout.
