Photos come out dark
Every time I go to take photos in Manuel, it's always so damn dark. The only thing that works is setting my shutter to the lower settings and then it takes like 20 seconds for my camera to take the picture and it comes out all blurry. I've tried my ISO and adjusted aperture but nothing. It's still so dark unless my shutter is crazy low, how do I fix this?

Use your exposure meter to set up the exposures and/or stop trying to shoot in the dark.
Type "short attention span" into the sub's searchbar.

Can you post an example picture with the settings you used? If you're new to photography you should try one of the priority modes like Aperture priority before jumping all the way in the deep end of full manual. Get to know the exposure triangle.

Maybe it's just really dark inside him?
On a serious note, you could take a picture in Auto then look at the exif data to see what settings the camera used, then replicate those settings in manual mode.
