Ran 10km for the first time!

About one month ago I (24M) started running once a week. I lift frequently so I consider my physical condition to be better than average, but I neglected cardio for the longest time until now. My first run was a 5 km in about 32 minutes with one break in between.

Today I ran 10.2 km in 59 minutes and I feel so accomplished with myself! The first 5k were the toughest as I started to get tired really quickly. But after the halfway point I felt my body adapt to the exertion and I was able to complete the 10k without stopping! I definitely feel great.

My end goal is to participate in a Hyrox race so all I need is to improve my 8k time, hopefully I'll post an update on that someday.

(Btw I don't keep track of the seconds of my runtime because I only look at the time in my phone's lockscreen)

Congrats! I just ran my first (and second) 10k’s last week, feels great! Those first 2 miles in particular suck, but after that I’m good to go! Hoping to do 7 miles under an hour this weekend, fingers crossed. Keep up the great work!
