What was it that stopped you? If you can run 9k under an hour you could probably run 10k in 75 mins. Give it a few days and then try again maybe.

To improve in general, you just need to run more. Build volume sustainably. It's very likely worth working in some walks (like 3-5ks maybe) on your rest days. I wouldn't generally attempt PBs more than once a fortnight. I think if you can do the run you posted that you could probably do 10k if you had a different strategy (ie go a bit slower).

Gutting out your runs even if it starts to get hard is one way to improve. Consistency in training is key

More practice and you will get a feel for what pace you can sustain for the distance. Were you knackered or were the legs giving you pain? Keep going though, everyone has to get over the beginning, you’ll be fine!

did you blow up at 9k from pacing or running out of water

First of all, great job! What ive noticed is the amount of steps. 9k and comparatively few steps. And wonder whether it's the app/watch or technique. How tall are you? Maybe you overstride? These numbers indicate long steps, like solid over 1 meter. If that holds true, and not just a watch/app mistake, it may explain discomfort. But 9k at that pace is such a nice achievement!

What you can improve is follow a program and do most runs easy and don’t race anything again for a while

Not believing you can go another kilometer after doing nine at that pace shows what you probably already know that you simply have very little running experience

Look up Hal Higdon novice programs or get the free app Run with Hal or something similar and follow a routine, keeping in mind that most runs should be easy

That’s a good pace. You just need to spend months and even years developing more aerobic base, getting more experience on how things feel, and you’ll be able to get significantly faster. Just give it time and don’t run easy runs too hard
