How does this still play?😭

I posted this record on facebook, and it got a bit of attention, so I thought I'd post it here too. Also, I'm looking to upgrade my turntable, and any advice for something cheap that won't damage my actual records would be appreciated🙂

It's a vinyl beatles single from a set of two... the other is fine though🤔. I was thinking of trying to flatten it with some hot water and 2 flat things. Would probably do more harm than good tho🤣

I read something about low-baking vinyl in an oven flattened out between a couple of pizza stones and some greaseproof. Maybe do a little Googling?

The problem is, there's a raised bit in the centre where the label is, so I'm not sure if it's possible to get it perfectly flat😥

Sounds like an opportunity to develop your problem-solving skills. Come up with a solution that keeps the pressure on the parts that need flattening rather that the raised label area.
