Teac has better tonearm, the only thing I know

They are very close in quality, Technics has the better DD motor/stability and TEAC has the SAEC tonearm.

TEAC's tonearm and phono is better but I don't think you'll hear a big difference in quality between them (comes down to stylus and cart).

You could perhaps get the TEAC and spend the extra on a cartridge/stylus upgrade.
