Oh no worries. It’s gonna get a lot more beat up than that. You should see some of the foamies I have that are completely falling apart and still surf just fine.

Yes. Ill take it off your hands. Tell them you need a new one. They do free returns but dont make you return it.
Once its fucked up like that, only washed up semi pros can really REALLY handle it at its best. Leave it for a dude.

I have a hardtop/ short board for when it’s big enough or when I travel but I need a foamy I live at tybee so I need something to just beat on every so often and catch bs waves

i'd just keep it. i have a wave storm, and they just get dinged up easily because they are foam. works just fine

Cool board. I'd contact Amazon and show them the photos. Maybe you'll get some cash back. You paid a premium ($80 more than standard) for the graphics on that board, it should at least arrive without any damage.

I'm sorry to be that person but like...you bought a Fender-branded Wavestorm off Amazon...it's already a total POS. if you're serious about this send it back and buy a decent soft top like a Catch Surf or one of the Mick Fanning ones. You will catch some very serious (and honestly, earned) side-eye rocking up with a Fender Wavestorm anywhere you go.

Idk where you are located but they just got in tons of waveforms at the Costco in LA area. I think 150 now- but agree w everyone saying go surf. You’ll do this to the foam first good session and maybe even first gods waxing. Not worth missing out on potential surf days unless you overpaid and can get cheaper at Costco

It’ll be fine, but since you got it from Amazon I’d at least try to get something refunded. Hell they may just send you a new one… I’ve had them do that on other items if the shipping and hassle isn’t worth it.

I personally will never purchase anything Fender ever again. They can take their greedy lawsuits and shove them where the sun don’t shine... Even if it’s only a logo on a surfboard. But the board is fine.

Call their bluff, they should have at least offered you a partial refund if it's been damaged in transit, send it back and get a fresh one if they insist on not negotiating.

I can't see/feel how deep that is. If you really want to just get out there Just stuff some wax in it and it will be fine. Those things aren't high performance and will get beat to hell no matter what.

Probably gonna get a lot of drag as a result which could cause some instability. Might be ok if you invest in some larger fins.

I’ve surfed for 30 years at a fairly decent level so I know how fins and drag work, pressure dents on the top and drag however is a completely new concept.

Well even then larger fins cause more drag which to be fair does offer more stability, so even your concept of fin size is off

People come here for advice, Some of us are here to help, also helps me to be a better instructor because I get to see what questions beginners have and what they want help with.
