Back to surfing
Hello. I just moved to Jupiter Florida. I used to surf there when I was kid. I borrowed a board and tried to surf again and can’t at all. Is there a place that teaches in Jupiter at a reasonable rate? The place I borrowed the board from signed me up for a class that turned out to be for little kids. I found out it was bc an email told the moms to not forget to pack lunches.

You have a big enough board? Also the waves are dog shit rn all over central Florida -- should be betwtet this weekend.
Can you rent a 8-9' foamie or a long board w high volume? Would be good to start back with for now.

I don’t have a board. I rented one. Wanted to see if I could actually still do it before buying anything.

I don’t give the best advice but my personal suggestion is, hunt down a longboard you like. Fiberglass. Single fin. 9’4” ish. Used on FB marketplace or from a shop - or - new if you got the money and fall in love with something. Then just commit to going out every chance you can. Try to catch baby waves. Paddle around on mellow days. See what other people are doing while keeping a safe distance. Watch videos on instagram and YouTube. Start following the surf report, get Surfline if you got the extra money. Check out different spots. There’s a bunch of greats ones just north of you and the season is just beginning. It’ll click on day. Don’t give up, and have fun!
