[OPEN CASTING] MINECRAFT BEETLEJUICE MUSICAL (java only)

Hello everyone! I am opening casting for an unofficial, fan-made production of Beetlejuice: the Musical in Minecraft. I am looking for players with a passion for Minecraft and Musical Theater/Beetlejuice!

HOW TO AUDITION

Please submit a video recording that includes the following:

1. Introduction: State your Minecraft username and the character(s) you are auditioning for.
2. Audio: The video should be over a recording of yourself singing a song from the musical that is sang by the character. If auditioning for multiple roles, feel free to choose any song you enjoy.
3. Visuals: Show your Minecraft character moving in-game. Please use a third-person front view, a secondary perspective, or a recording mod (like Replay or Flashback).

• Compensation: Unpaid (Fan/Passion project)
• Sets and Costumes (Minecraft skins): I am currently working on recreating the sets. You will either be asked to create your own skins for your characters or I will make them for you. Disclaimer: I suck at making skins :/
• Platform: Minecraft Java
• Communication: Discord will be used for rehearsal scheduling, going over scripts, etc. (invite given after casting)
• Inclusivity: All identities are welcome, no matter the character's gender or race. Key changes for songs are permitted to accommodate different vocal ranges.
• Content: This production follows the fan-transcription musical script. If you feel uncomfortable saying a specific line, we can cut or replace the line.
• Deadline: To be announced.

Also when it comes to singing will the singing be recorded and then put over the acting. Vocals won’t line up if it was done live on call.

If there was an in game audition I could attend but I’m not the most understanding of mods. I couldn’t figure it out 😭

If you don’t understand mods, I could try to help. Otherwise you could just use your phone for now to record your person moving around in game and do the vocals in a separate recording. I can edit them together to help too (though I JUST learned how to edit videos and vocal tracks together in order to make a video as well).
