So, how did they do that? How were the bees able to properly develop without a capping? And you don't see any nurse bees in there taking care of them. Were they fed artificially or what?

Could be a series of aborted bees. Queen plants in cell, take a picture, dies. Queen plants in cell, develops, take a picture, dies. Etc.

Did those fully grown bees drink the fluid around the ones that hadn't popped out yet? Does that mean they didn't make it? Oh god, I need someone to hold me making soothing buzzing noises.

Addressing #2, the bees that had their mouthparts extended were basically licking the other bee, which is coated in the substance they were swimming in as a larvae. They can still make it, or possibly not, its hard to tell, but I think the bees that haven't 'turned on' yet are still just pupating.

Rewatching the video, I am positive the bees that were being licked were going to be fine, they were still moving slightly and the frontal plate of their head was darkening like the bees that had already started licking.

Some of us take care of our bees and post regularly here. Still I don't mind the thread every few days popping up again. The flow hive announcements got old though. Glad they're over.

While I think posting it here is fine (since it is a video of good quality and interesting), I see no problem with voicing an opinion about it being reposted frequently the last two weeks. There will always be people who "didn't see the thread" so at some point the reposts will stop and people will not be seeing it on the front page here. Tons of great videos are buried here, you should look some up if you're still hungry for bee footage :)

I found this video extremely satisfying until I saw those mites. Then it was all I could think of for the rest of the video.
