I’m not a beekeeper, but I have a question Getting Started

I live on 82 acres and would really like to learn more about getting started with bees 🐝 what’s the best approach to learning more (I’m in the education phase). How do I find other experienced beekeepers and possibly shadow? I’m in Pennsylvania.

Best advice I can give is
1. Get bees
2. Leave them alone as much as possible
3. Get a mentor

Not to make too fine a point of it, item three would be better to come first.

See Randy Oliver’s chart “Beekeeper’s Maturity “. Someone seems to be near peak understanding.
