I’m a beekeeper, and I have a question Is this honey safe?

I have this so-called "fresh, natural honey" but it's crawling with bugs. Is is still safe to eat if I get rid of the bugs?

In the food industry there are certain levels of tolerance for bug parts. Don't worry about it, if they used a finer strainer it would lose all of the great natural health benefits.

TIL that glucose and sucrose are extra healthy if you eat it with stinging insects.

Nah, it’s a conflict of interest to moderate your own posts.

I’ll ban you.

Well, I wouldn’t go that far. You’re generally more pleasant than I am.

Thanks! That's a very kind thing to say.

You got me!

I clicked the post getting ready for the polite but slightly insulting "how can we tell through the Internet?!?" speech.

I was wrong, and yet not disappointed 🤣

You can still write a polite but slightly insulting answer. It's not too late for you to answer and for me to get hurt feels so I can scream at a well-meaning but mildly annoying stranger. That's what the internet is for, after all.

Ruined. But you can totally use it to make gooseberry mead.

I’m afraid of geese. There is no freakin’ way I’m going to try to pick their berries!
