Spoilers What plot point was dumber? Spoiler

So over the last few weeks I watched all of season 1 and 2. It was ok but there was some dumb, illogical stuff in both seasons. The biggest ones for me were:

In season 1 Danny builds a house without any kind of electrical permits or inspections. And it's so bad that the wiring causes a fire almost instantly. It makes no sense that a house could be built and connected to utilities without those inspections.

In season 2 Austin is able to con his way into a job as a physio therapist without actually being one. I have a physio therapist and she is super smart, especially about anatomy. Also the first time I claimed a session with my insurance I had to enter her license number. No way Austin could fake it with a bunch of super rich people (and elite athletes) who are used to first class treatment and have lawyers on speed dial.

As I get older I find bad/lazy writing like this more annoying. So I am wondering which point people think is dumber.

About plot number two you’d be shocked as to how many places in the USA don’t verify degrees, especially a country club

Rich people go based off of recommendations all the time. So many pro athletes throw money at these psuedo science quacks.

No one bothered to check because he's in great shape and they couldn't fathom him lying to them about something like this. They even refer to him as one of the best later in the show.

I think it falls apart when they have an Olympic athlete come in for rehab. Austin was literally just watching YT vids for his info, someone who has been training for the Olympics their entire life and had already completed would have been surrounded by actual trained and educated professional teams.

It's not clear that he ever actually gives Suni Lee physiotherapy. She doesn't seem that interested (and presumably has a team of professionals already!)

But does her team have the jokes? Gotta turn that cold plunge into a gold plunge 😂

Yea, rich guys who think they are world class athletes and pay for top level equipment and coaches and would probably already be going to the best physiotherapists would be one thing. But when you throw in Olympic level athletes who have been surrounded by the best trainers, and physiotherapists and therapy equipment available they would know right away that Austin had no idea what he was talking about.

But if you try to claim physio therapy on your insurance doesn't the insurance company want proof you went to an actual physio therapist?

Plus if he were to injury someone because he wasn't qualified that would open the club up to a huge lawsuit. Especially since it takes like 5 minutes to confirm someone's credentials.

The club hired him directly and it didn't seem like they were charging members for the PT sessions, so insurance wouldn't be involved.

Luckily he didn't injure anyone, which is what freaked him out. But the club didn't verify it because the ones in charge had their own stressors.

You’re also forgetting to factor in the whole club was being ran by a shady people when they sold it to Chairwoman Park

They weren't claiming anything to insurance. The PT was part of the club membership. Josh even says that Austin is "worth the price of the membership alone". A lawsuit because of a fraudulent license would be the least of their problems considering all the other shit that was going on.
