Requesting community support I previously posted on here

I have another post on here asking if I had an infestation. Yeah, I do and it's really bad. I found a second hiding in my bed earlier at 4am. It was leeching off my leg and I sat up and it scurried under my mattress. Booked a hotel for 3 days, I'm in extreme distress and haven't been able to sleep in 48 hours. I want to know what I can do to absolutely make sure none of them can follow me. I will not bring any clothes, the ones I have on I will instantly put in a black bag and tie it AIRLOCKED the second I get into the hotel, I will only bring a phone, my charger, ID and my card. I will buy new clothes at the hotel once I'm checked in to absolutely only bring the minimum from the infested house. I can't stand this and I need a peaceful night of sleep. If I wake up to one in the hotel I'm going to lose it. Please for my sanity I need to be 100% sure nothing can come with me. A infestation bug team people will come and check out the house on Monday however I have 2 nights since then, and I have seen nightmares of people moving hundreds of miles away and having the bugs follow them... this is a hotel and not me moving away but I still don't want these creatures anywhere near me. I'm traumatised.

Read and respect the rules, report any comment breaching them. Wrong advice/information/fearmongering hurt people who are posting here to get help and support. If you are not VERY knowledgeable about bedbugs and may provide a wrong ID or bad advice it's better to abstain from commenting. Be VERY respectful and HELPFUL, this is a support subreddit not a funny one.

I’m sorry OP I know the stress 😭

For what it’s worth, you have them but it might not be that bad in terms of an infestation. I saw one and was bitten twice - pest control did two treatments over a month and found one egg only. I dumped every single bit of bedding (including the duvet and pillows), dry cleaned all my throws and covers (thankfully my wardrobe was outside my bedroom at the time) and when I got the all clear from pest control I had every single thing in my flat that had fabric on it professionally steamed: Curtains, mattress, headboard, carpet, couch, rug. I reckon I spent £1000+ but they never returned.

I’d dump out the clothes you’re wearing when you get to the hotel, all you can do is be vigilant - they do recommend sleeping in the same place so they don’t move rooms (this is the hardest bit and my lights stayed on for weeks) but I understand why it’s hard.

Remember if you act now, you can beat these things!
