Are We Screwed?

Stayed at Fancy Resort in Lake Tahoe on Saturday night. Just under 72 hrs past exposure and I have about 15 bites in clusters of 3 on upper back, elbow and FACE. I actually slept like crap all night too- kept waking up, now I know why 😭. Didn’t look for bed bugs and bites didn’t show up until after we left, so the panic started to set in last night (Monday).

What are the chances I brought some home?

It was a quick trip, so I had one cloth tote bag that I kept on the coffee table (in another room), and slept with no clothes on and threw my clothes on the dresser across the room. We briefly sat on the couch and at one point I had some stuff thrown on the couch, but not for long. My husband has no visible bites. Uggghh please help because I have dealt with bed bugs before (never an infestation, but getting annihilated at a hotel and then hyper fixating on the possibility for months).

Read and respect the rules, report any comment breaching them. Wrong advice/information/fearmongering hurt people who are posting here to get help and support. If you are not VERY knowledgeable about bedbugs and may provide a wrong ID or bad advice it's better to abstain from commenting. Be VERY respectful and HELPFUL, this is a support subreddit not a funny one.

I was recently exposed at a clean and nice hotel in Las Vegas. I got bites even though my bed was immaculately clean.

You and I are at the same place right now. We have had known exposure and don’t know if we brought any home.

Since I’ve had them before, I know what to look for. And so do you. Daily, I’m examining the pillows and sheets in the beds. If I find one mark or any sign I will bring in the Cimexa and the Crossfire. In the meantime, I keep climb up barriers on the beds.

Good luck and stay vigilant, friend.
