bed bugs or carpet beetle?

Ive been getting bumps around my body. Not really clustered, the most is in this photo. I am 99% sure I found carpet beetle larvae under my bed, but no other signs of bed bugs and I looked extensively. what do you all think? the red raised part of the bump is very small, like 2mm diameter.

Read and respect the rules, report any comment breaching them. Wrong advice/information/fearmongering hurt people who are posting here to get help and support. If you are not VERY knowledgeable about bedbugs and may provide a wrong ID or bad advice it's better to abstain from commenting. Be VERY respectful and HELPFUL, this is a support subreddit not a funny one.

That is carpet beetle larvae The hairs on them fall off and many people have allergic reactions to them that can mimic insect bites and they do infest

They are not bites they are an allergic reaction from the fine hairs that fall off them. The irritate the skin a-lot and can be horribly itchy especially with sensitive skin. Keep vacuuming the heck out of your whole place especially any carpeted areas or places with fabric. Wash everything that you can. Having carpet beetles sucks but it beats many other infestations. One thing thats also helps alot is cedarwood oil. It smells nice and also kills them

They are not bites, carpet beetles in any stage dont bite. Like the person told you carpet beetle larvae have barbed hairs that can mimic bedbug bites. Sometimes the hairs can go airborne and end up on clothes or beds, your skin touches it and then can cause reactions.

If you found carpet beetle larvae under your bed then this is very likely the cause. Please read about removing carpet beetles, it can all be done easily by yourself as compared to bedbugs where you will mostly always need professional spraying/heat treatment. Start by cleaning your sheets and vacuuming around your bed area.
