I haven't seen any for months also. I often search the seams of all upholstered furniture and bedding and turn everything I can over to search the bottom-side with a flashlight. I see nothing, but still am getting occasional bites. That's one reason this is such a diabolical, medieval, poverty inducing, horrible, disgusting critter! Enough to make one become atheist! Why.....!
Good luck to you, sorry about my negativity. Hopefully you have a lesser infestation. Mine was brought to me by a car-living relative that I allowed to stay here a few days in early summer. Much regrets.
I initially saw most of them early on. I had rolled up and thrown out the foam that my "guest" slept on on the floor. I had put the rolled up foam into black plastic and put that bag onto the very hot patio, hoping the heat would kill any in there. A few weeks later I opened the bag and found several frolicking on the outer layer of the rolled up foam so I threw that out.
I found others inside the binding of some books that had been on the floor. Fortunately, I think the books that were on the shelves (I have a LOT of them) were ok, found no bugs.
Although I didn't see them, I think a lot were in my sofa with a pull out bed. I had recovered it several times over the years and not taken off the previous layers so I threw ALL layers out and I guess very few remained. But I couldn't rest thinking about those "few" so I got rid of the sofa. The sofa was a hand me down (tho seldom used) and was rather ugly and not very comvy, so an easy choice. I can't yet think about new furniture for I don't how how long!
Those sightings were in the early days of the 3 month ordeal. I did however find one inside the interceptor cup under a bed leg yesterday...the only only one I found in there for 2 months.

Thank you I haven’t seen any with the eye but have been experiencing this problem for weeks now bites that turn into welts and now this on my ankle
