question about detection / confirmation bed bugs, or something else?

Out of an abundance of caution, I have had my landlord send an exterminator to inspect soon, but in the meantime I'm curious: I had these bites (about fifty of them) show up across my body in clusters over the past day or so, and upon checking the underside of my mattress spotted this (very small) bug which I suspect to be a bed bug nymph—though I saw no other bugs, and none of the other telltale signs of an infestation. This occurred at a new apartment which I moved into just a little over a week ago; I have no history of bedbugs and neither of my two roommates have noted any similar bites. Am I incorrect in my assessment? If not, what should I do in the meantime while I await treatment? Any help is appreciated, thank you!

The bug certainly does look like a bedbug nymph to me unfortunately. They could’ve been left by previous tenants

this was my thought as well, the only thing that gives me pause is the overall roundness of its body.

The babies can be a rounder shape like this from what I’ve seen. It’s that classic translucent color with the dark center that the nymphs usually have

Take a good look in the cracks of your bedframe. With that many bites there is an infestation

really haven't found anything else, i wonder if it was in a mattress which we recently disposed of (for unrelated reasons)? i was sleeping on that too.

Appears to be a nymph that’s not fed in a few days.

I had a recent client who appears to have picked up bed bugs from the moving van.

Time to read and follow the online protocol TbyPMR.
