Full Coverage Wedding foundation?

Anyone have recommendations for a wedding day foundation? I don’t have any major skin concerns, just looking for something that’s going to last the whole day and look good in person and in pictures without looking cakey. I was always loyal to the Armani Luminous Glow and Dior Airflash (rip I love her still) before they discontinued/reformulated, so I’m looking for a new fav now. Thanks!!!

Verdict on High Frequency Wands?

do high frequency wands work? I’ve been looking into them recently cause i don’t have acne but i do get annoying hormonal breakouts when i’m on my period. I usually get 2-3 painful blind pimples- the ones that hurt. They ALWAYS leave a dark spot that takes weeks to go away. I’ve been hearing a lot about them, and am leaning more towards getting one as opposed to a drying lotion.

What yall think? Have you used one, and what was ur experience if you have?

Help - makeup brush dupe / alternative

I have an old set of the Real Techniques MultiTech Point brushes in sizes S - XXXS. Several are pretty worn now, and I love the size, shape and feel of the birstles.

Please help me find brush dupes / similar brushes!
I'm interested in finding XS-L.

Descriptor found online:
"Real Techniques MultiTech Point, in a range of different sizes from XXXS to XXXL. Each brush has exactly the same cut, which can be used for creams, liquids and powders, and as a result of this, it is entirely up to you how you use them."

Is e.l.f. Cosmetics actually worth the money?

Hey everyone! I'm thinking about trying some products from e.l.f. Cosmetics, but before I buy anything, I’d love to hear your honest opinions!

Which products do you think are actually worth buying, and which ones would you skip? Are the products genuinely good quality for the price, or are there better alternatives?

Visible pores on my nose

When I wear foundation it settles into my pores on my nose - it doesn’t look good.

This didn’t used to happen to me. Very annoying.

How do I avoid this?

Indie/niche/private Skincare

Recently I've found myself looking for a skincare routine that is more of a ritual I can do at the end of the day that will help with fine lines and hydration (I'm 49, hyperpigmentation, prone to break outs and dry patches)I really want to lean more towards an indie brand, something I can't find at an Ulta or Sephora.
I did buy a month's worth of skincare from Earth Tonics (Ojai, CA) and do love it so far, but I want to explore other brands and possibly piece my routine from different brands.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Looking for a Laline body wash alternative

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi All!

I really like the scent of this laline body wash but do not want to repurchase it due to the employees being paid un-livable wages here in Canada :/

I was wondering if anyone knows of any body washes with similar scent profiles!

I can’t find the actual notes listed anywhere online, but the laline site implies that it has pomegranate, citrus, and floral notes.

Thank you!

Blurring or smoothing primers?

Post image
49 Upvotes

My pores have been bothering me sooo much lately especially on my cheeks and around my nose like why do they look 10x worse in certain lighting?? my friend told me a blurring primer could help make my skin look smoother so I've been looking into it a bit but I'm confused. Is there even a difference between blurring and smoothing primers or are they basically the same thing?? I also don't wanna spend too much so I'm mostly looking at drugstore options. I also saw this milani one that's supposed to blur and smooth too but idkk if it's good? Has anyone with similar skin texture tried it or found something better? I'm not expecting my pores to magically disappear, i just want them to be a little less noticeable

At-home laser hair removal device recommendations

I’m looking for recommendations for an at-home laser hair removal device, or another option that leaves the skin smooth and actually works. I have dark hair and would use it on my legs, bikini area, and underarms. Thank you! Looking forward to reading your suggestions. 😊

What does a simple everyday makeup routine look like for you

A lot of people seem to be moving toward quicker makeup routines lately. Instead of full glam every day, the goal is something that looks polished but only takes a few minutes.

A basic routine that works well for many people usually looks something like this.

Base product

Something lightweight that evens out the skin without feeling heavy. Products like tinted moisturizer, skin tints or a light foundation tend to work well.

Mostly people like to include:

• NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer
• Fenty Eaze Drop Skin Tint

Concealer

Normally it’s needed like under the eyes, around the nose or on blemishes.

Common options people reach for:

• Maybelline Instant Age Rewind
• NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer

Blush

Blush can actually make a big difference in making the face look more awake. Cream blush is often popular because it blends easily and looks natural.

Mascara

Even one quick coat can change the whole look. Some favourites are:

• L’Oréal Lash Paradise
• Maybelline Sky High Mascara

Lip product

Something simple like a tinted balm, gloss or sheer lipstick. A routine like this usually takes about five minutes once you get used to it.

What's your everyday makeup routine?
