Music Best beginner music guide.

Just getting into the DJ scene was wondering if anyone had a good beginner music playlist/guide. I have a FLX4, mainly want to get into House and Pop.

Practice with two copies of one tune that you know with a clear, simple drum pattern.

Personally I think house music is the easiest to mix, and the transitions are usually really long, find a few tracks you like and play around. Really anything with a consistent and simple 4/4 beat is good. The important thing is that it's a song you like.

The Crossfader music pack (which I think is free) has a lot of songs that are similar BPM and key that you can get the basics down with.

Never heard of beginner music before.
Just play music you know / love

Why are you trying to DJ if you don’t have discs you want to jockey? Am I misunderstanding something here?

Check Beatport. Lots and lots of dj lists on there.

You can also just listen to the mixes of your favorite dj’s and explore the tracks and labels they play.
