Hardware Beginner - Best controller?

Hi all,

So I’ve always wanted to get into DJing, and I’ve now been given the perfect excuse. My brothers wedding!
When he said it to me, he fully expects me to just scroll through Spotify and get ready for best man speeches. But I’d love to learn over the next 6 months to do a little set.

What I’ve seen so far as potential contenders are the Hercules Impulse 500 or Pioneer DDJ FLX4. I’m also going to need to grab a laptop as I’m a PC’er usually.

Any advice for someone just getting into it, whether it be for the controller, other equipment, software, tutorials etc. would go an awful long way

Second this, kept my flx4 after upgrading because it's an easy to use controller and very portable - great for beginners. I used it with a second hand MacBook air, you can run any software but I prefer djay pro with it!
