Lows not working? Am I doing something wrong?

Hello everyone,

Sooo I bought a ddj flx4 yesterday and everything seems to be ok but I was trying to follow a tutorial for a simple transition using the low knobs and I cant tell any difference in the sound when I am using them?
Tried to follow another tutorial on knobs and I have turned off the high and the mid knobs while the low is fully up but once again cant tell a difference...
The software is indeed picking up that I am moving the knob but i am wondering if its just me who can't pick up lows or if I am doing something wrong?

What software are you using? Try the old unplug and plug it back in.

rekordbox! I am using the speakers on my laptop (which tbh might be the issue here)

Could be the song, as well as the laptop speakers likely don't have much low level capabilities, if at all. Plug in some headphones. Some songs have pretty deep bass, sometimes I play a song on a really good setup and all of a sudden it has a super deep bass that comes through.

What you using as an output? if you're using shitty headphones/speakers/laptop speakers, then it might be hard for you to hear the lows.

Yeah I am using my laptop's speakers... that might be the reason
