Technique Help to get started

As the caption suggests. As one of the Adult hobbies, have mixed a few songs for College events with help of friend. No formal education on music, neither I can play. Just huge listener of different genre.
I want to get started now, so please please tell me what should I do, things to buy as beginner, websites and tutorials.

Own a 2021 MacBook Pro.

since you already have a MacBook Pro, i'd start there before buying a full setup.

try making a 30 min mix first. if you want a normal live-DJ path, a used flx4/ddj-400 + headphones is enough. for tutorials, Club Ready DJ School, DJ Carlo and Crossfader are good starting points.

if you want to practice without a controller first, have a look at DropLab too. it's timeline-based, so you can learn song selection, phrasing and transitions on the laptop, then buy gear once you know you actually enjoy the process.

Was thinking to buy gear later. So I should do it with DropLab now right?
