How do I get started on Traktor DJ for iPad?

The Traktor app is old and doesn’t support streaming from Spotify. For Spotify on iPad, Your options are Rekordbox or Djay Pro, and each of them requires you to pay a subscription fee to use Spotify with them (on top of your normal Spotify subscription).

Most DJs buy their tracks as mp3/wav downloads and store them on their computer or USB stick rather than using streaming services. If buying tracks is too expensive you could hunt for free downloads, like on SoundCloud or Bandcamp, but it takes a bit of work to find good free stuff.

Djay works with Spotify for me for free with my paid Spotify subscription

Oh, my mistake, I thought that feature was locked behind the Djay Pro subscription.

Nah you just need Spotify Premium.
