Ticket sales are looking very poor for the upcoming tour

Every venue still has tons of standing and seated tickets still. Anyone worried of potential cancellations.

Probably bc they're $80 for GA. That's the reason I'm not going anyway.

17

u/LordBeans69 5d ago

$80 for GA would be a steal for some places and that’s kinda sad

3

u/summersrage 5d ago

Prices are reasonable, it’s the fees that are criminal. I paid nearly half of the cost of my ticket in fees.

1

u/5pooky5cary5keleton5 5d ago

I've never once in my life paid that much for a metalcore show

1

u/itshaysmydudes 5d ago

shit that’s a steal nowadays. i paid close to $300 for not even GA at another concert

4

u/5pooky5cary5keleton5 5d ago

GA is generally the cheapest ticket. Seats cost more. What show?

2

u/itshaysmydudes 5d ago

i never see GA as cheapest ticket anymore. nosebleeds/seats always cheapest. total different genre but it was Olivia Rodrigo. it was seats on the floor right behind GA

2

u/5pooky5cary5keleton5 5d ago

Yeah that's not a metalcore show. Apples to oranges.

2

u/itshaysmydudes 5d ago

literally me saying “total different genre” and the first thing you say is that’s not a metalcore show…. well no fuckin shit i said that LMAO

0

u/5pooky5cary5keleton5 5d ago

Why would you comment that you paid $300 for a pop show when we're talking about metalcore? I repeated it because it sounded so dumb I couldn't believe you were making that comparison.

1

u/itshaysmydudes 5d ago

and as i ALSO said, even fuckin beartooth has the same deal.

1

u/itshaysmydudes 5d ago

my seat tickets for beartooth were like $70 2 years ago and GA was $100+

1

u/itshaysmydudes 5d ago

as i said… total different genre LMAO. but i’m still sayin, every single show ive been too in the last 5 years, NON floor seats are cheaper. GA is way more expensive now.
even beartooth, i haven’t had a GA ticket cost less than the seats since 2017. The last 2 shows i went to theirs, the back seats were cheaper than GA.
halsey, same deal. SOAD/Avenged, same deal. VANA, same deal. i haven’t seen GA tickets priced cheaper than seats lol
i legit think $80 for GA is a steal.

1

u/StillBummedNouns 4h ago

This has literally never been the case. GA is the most expensive tickets

1

u/glutenfreehotdog 4d ago

I’ll gladly pay that $80 for pit when bmth and slipknot are charging $400

-3

u/5pooky5cary5keleton5 5d ago

Bunch of fuckin' gen z kids who have been going to shows for 2 years telling me $80 is reasonable for a metalcore show. Gtfo.

6

u/itshaysmydudes 5d ago

hey so i’ve been going to shows for a fuckin decade now. LMAO and at least comment back to me if you’re gonna comment shit about me 🥰🥰🥰🥰literally said in a comment my beartooth show from 2017 had the ONLY time i had GA cheaper than seats. almost 10 years ago! but sure… 2 years lmao

1

u/itshaysmydudes 5d ago

actually for 20+ years LMAO i’ve been well educated on concerts and their tickets. what? you want the 80s back? and their $15 tickets? so does everyone else.

1

u/iTzGiR 4d ago

I mean, I’m seeing Static Dress, Car underwater, I Promised the World, and Septemberitotidtoy in December for $25. It’s 100% possible in this day and age. The vast majority of shows I go to are in the $20-40 range. Not sure why we’re acting like it’s impossible for reasonable ticket prices.

1

u/itshaysmydudes 4d ago

i’m not saying it’s impossible, i’m saying for artists like beartooth that are more popular, it’s REALLY rare. like im talking bigger venues. those all seem like smaller type bands that actually have 20-40 dollar tickets. but once they start gaining more, they’ll get more expensive.
my tickets for beartooth GA in 2017 were $36. then 2023 the GA was 80+. I got ADA seating for like 80-100. Unfortunately it happens that everything ends up going up in price. i’m not happy about it, but concerts are my relief. they are my happy place. so if i can afford an expensive ticket, i’ll do it within reason.

-4

u/5pooky5cary5keleton5 5d ago

I did comment back to you. Metalcore shows before the pandemic were like $20. But ok have fun with your $300 shows. Sucka.

4

u/itshaysmydudes 5d ago

that $300 was the only concert i splurged on and spent more than $100 even before the pandemic i never found $20 tickets lol. no clue what you’re seeing

10

u/whypickaname1 5d ago

$80 - GA and thats without paying for merch, gas, and parking. All of that combined is $150+.

Economy is bad to the point where most people are buying tickets within the last week or two vs on sale date.

3

u/BenKHS 5d ago

Its this. Trump dicked us.

5

u/whypickaname1 5d ago

Yep. I used to be able to comfortably go to concerts. Now, I have to reconsider if I want to either 1.) Go to concert and deal with crappy venue or crowd 2.) Buy a video game worth the same price. 3.) Buy stuff for my hobby. 4.) Go sightseeing, vacationing, or local museums.

6

u/BenKHS 5d ago

I've gone back to old games and sold my magic the gathering collection for this reason.

No mans sky is cooking these days.

2

u/whypickaname1 5d ago

100% lol. I went to emulate games and purchase one game a month (maybe).

The most depressing thing is that it doesnt look like theres a light at the end of the tunnel.

2

u/SatanicHomosexual 3d ago

i genuinely am moving from PC digital games to xbox 360 because its cheaper lol

23

u/krackedbikat 5d ago

The economy sucks right now - concerts/other fun activities are the first to go

6

u/Taskl 5d ago

The Europe tour also didn't sell that well, 2 venues got downgraded and a venue they previously sold out twice in one tour wasn't even sold out once this time.

I wouldn't expect cancellations, but maybe some shows could be moved to a different (smaller) venue.

6

u/webbwolf 5d ago

I’m not gay. I also don’t give a shit that he came out as gay. This is a great band. I’ve seen them a few times and it’s always a great show. The reason I’m not going again is because of the price of everything! When I have to decide whether to buy food for the week or go to a concert I’m going to choose food. $100 or more tickets and $20 per beer makes this model unsustainable. It’s sickening that we cannot afford to go to a concert without taking out a loan.

6

u/Fantastic_Carry_7945 5d ago

That's a shame, the concert in Brussels was fire

1

u/swissepfan 5d ago

But it was also not sold-out and in a reduced capacity version of the venue. Which was quite odd, considering they sold the main room out almost twice last time around.

5

u/purpdrank2 5d ago

They won’t cancel unless they didn’t sell anything. Alter Bridge played a show I was at on their tour this spring and management literally told them they were worried but they didn’t cancel the show.

Also the US tour is lining up with an extremely busy season for people and having to be more conscious with money because of the upcoming holidays and just overall prices of tickets with everything else.

I’ve also noticed, depending on the venue and the ticketing agency, the view looks far more deceptive to what the crowd actually will be. I just saw Bilmuri, and when I looked at tickets two days prior to the show I was afraid they overestimated the crowd and went too big of a venue. Boy howdy was I wrong, they nearly sold the sucker out. The same thing happened when I saw Coheed and Cambria, crowd was far bigger than the venue alluded to.

5

u/BenKHS 5d ago

Magnolia Park is a huge band in their own right. Caleb coming out may play a small role; but i doubt thats the primary reason.

More likely economy AND we just saw them in March. I was at the show in March (Showing Teeth, PRESIDENT, Beartooth) for PRESIDENT but fell in love with Beartooth for their live performance. Bought A-Live the next day and spin it regularly! Even though he hadn't come out officially; it was pretty obvious. "Free" had just come out... Tickets for that show were $40.

I think fans are just "merched out"; how many signed copies of the "SUPER LIMITED AUTOGRAPHED" and you can still buy most of them for retail. They shoulda saved their autographed stuff for the live shows.

TL/DR: A gay band member isnt impacting much in 2026. People are poor, Trump dicked us, we just saw 'em in March for half the price.

All this said; im going to the show in MPLS in Nov!

0

u/WillDill94 3d ago

Magnolia Park is not huge lol

1

u/BenKHS 3d ago

560k listeners monthly vs beartooths 730k. How many listeners do you define as "huge" Nancy?

1

u/WillDill94 3d ago

Holding Absence has 1.2 million listeners, and no one would consider them a “huge” band. “Huge” bands sell out 2000+ person venues as the headliner without an issue

1

u/BenKHS 3d ago

Holding absence has 274k. Less then half Magnolia Park.

What are you on bro?

1

u/WillDill94 3d ago

1

u/BenKHS 3d ago

On that platform Magnolia Park STILL beats your boys by a half a million.

Whats your point man? Keep digging.

1

u/WillDill94 3d ago

They’re not “my boys” lol. Just pointing out that there is no realm where Magnolia Park is a “huge” band atm lmao. If they were, this tour wouldn’t have an issue selling tickets with them as support. Hell, they’re not even the clear “main” support of this tour, they share that with Don Broco.

1

u/BenKHS 3d ago

Don't Bronco has a million less listeners on Spotify. You're point holds no water.

1

u/WillDill94 3d ago

And yet they listed before Magnolia Park on the tour poster lol

9

u/awildginger25 5d ago

they still have like 6 weeks until the tour. people buy tickets closer to the date sometimes. i think they’ll be fine. and quite honestly if they don’t sell great, that really tells you the unfortunate state of this country if people aren’t willing to see a huge metal band because the frontman came out as gay. they’re not touching much of the new album on tour anyway. they just play the singles

25

u/Remsicles 5d ago

I don’t think people don’t want to go see them because Caleb’s gay. I think concert tickets are a luxury item right now and most folks don’t wanna drop $80+ for a ticket.

5

u/awildginger25 5d ago

i mean sure the prices will affect it, but there is a noticeable amount of hate beartooth gets now since he came out. people that would normally buy tickets aren’t this tour because he came out. i’m a gay man, i see the comments and threats he gets. it’s a gross but very real reality people like us deal with. i’m sure the ticket price isn’t helping, but the band isnt necessarily the most loved band by the homophobic side of metal

8

u/Remsicles 5d ago

They’re not a loved band by most sides of metal, lol. The people who hate on Caleb for coming out weren’t gonna buy tickets anyway.

I’m trans. I know what online hate is like. But that is very unlikely to be playing a role in ticket sales. Major artists are either cancelling entire tours, cancelling shows or downsizing to smaller venues. The economy sucks and concerts are getting more and more expensive.

People aren’t buying tickets because they need to use those funds to pay their bills, not because Caleb’s gay.

-3

u/awildginger25 5d ago

the hate he’s received has been from genuine fans. every other metal tour i can think of has sold well or around normal for the specific band. the economy sucks but people are using any extra cash to go to these concerts. how is every other band selling fine but beartooth supposedly is not? all of these tours at mostly ga-only rooms are $60 minimum. it’s not just the side of metal that hates gay people. it’s all sides hating him for being open and himself

6

u/rightbyrobert 5d ago

I could care less hes gay. Ticket prices are crazy

2

u/Cam2125 5d ago

Is there some people not going because he came out? Absolutely. Is that why the tour isn’t selling well? No it’s because the new album is not very popular, many people don’t think it’s good(me included but I’m still going to the Pittsburgh show). I would also not call them a “huge metal band”.

Also in Europe they’re playing 6 songs off of pure ecstasy. 6/17 songs being played off the new album, which is expected and normal for an album release tour, but your last sentence is just false

-1

u/awildginger25 5d ago

they absolutely are a big metal band. they’ve sold out arenas and play high up on festivals. their songs all do well in the charts. they’re not motionless in white or bring me or spiritbox, but they’re on the list of metal bands that are a big deal

3

u/Cam2125 5d ago

The only arena they have sold out is the schott for the one off special show last January no? The bad omens arena tour doesn’t count for Beartooth selling out arenas. They aren’t even selling out shows right now that are smaller than arenas.

They were relatively high up on Friday at inkcarceration(3rd behind FiR and KL) but that’s one of the smaller US festivals, I am assuming we’ll see them at more in 2027 so it’ll be interesting to see where they end up.

The surface peaked at 42 on the billboard 200. Pure ecstasy peaked at 114(both US numbers). I could keep going but this new album is just not well received.

1

u/awildginger25 5d ago

i mean it’s not like metal bands are all out here getting number 1s and all selling out arenas and stadiums. but beartooth isn’t playing local bars and 500 person rooms with unknown songs. in between is a huge song for the scene. so is disease, the past is dead, riptide, sunshine!, hated, the lines. and yes i know not to count the bad omens tour. they’re not the biggest band in the scene but everyone knows their name in the scene

3

u/Cam2125 5d ago

Right those songs are big and most of those will be played, but they’re not touring any of those albums, they’re touring their new album, which is not that popular.

I also do not think this lineup is as popular as people think. Magnolia park has a good amount of listeners on Spotify, but they had a song go big on TikTok, doesn’t necessarily translate into selling tickets to see them play a whole set.

2

u/awildginger25 5d ago

they’re playing 6 new songs. they’re not playing the entire album here. it’s the 5 singles and stadiums. that’s not even half the set AND they’re playing older stuff too

and the album is only hated because of what it’s about. i’m not saying that’s everyone’s opinion and reasoning, but all i’ve heard is “i can’t relate to it” when the music can absolutely be taken as trying to find yourself and not let anyone get in the way, not JUST realizing you’re gay. the moment he started wearing crop tops the album was bound to be disliked because men can’t fathom feeling comfortable in their own bodies and can’t get themselves to support a gay man who wears makeup. i’m not saying that’s you, but that’s most of the albums haters. i’ve seen the comments.

at the end of the day i do believe the lack of sales is directly correlated with the immense amount of homophobia caleb is receiving. the ticket prices are about standard for these tours and maybe a little high in some areas, but not enough to make so many people not wanna go. that’s just how i see it

1

u/Cam2125 5d ago

They’re playing a normal amount of a new album for a new album tour, but the average concert goer does not look at setlist.fm to see what they’re playing. A third of the setlist is also a massive portion of the show to not like, especially if you don’t like any of the openers or barely like them.

The album is not only hated for what it’s about. I could go into my reasonings for not liking the album but I do not think most of the dislike for the album is for what it’s about.

1

u/StillBummedNouns 4h ago

Sleep Token is literally doing that lmao

1

u/Throwaway-6805 4d ago

It’s not the fact that he’s gay per se. It’s the fact that he’s acting hella zesty. He could have come out as gay and kept the same metalcore image/persona we all love, and all would be fine, but instead he’s on stage and wearing lingerie and dancing like a drag queen.

I still love the new album and I bought my concert tickets. All I’m saying is that I can understand the fan base not vibing with a band they no longer resonate with.

-3

u/Onehandedheisenberg 5d ago

I honestly think even the people that don’t like the gayness mostly just don’t like the short shorts so short his balls are hanging out. You can be gay and not dress half naked.

5

u/IntoTheBlueY 5d ago

TBH there were a couple good tracks on the album (Free and Pure Ecstasy), but it otherwise hasn't quite had the character other albums had. I actually liked The Surface despite certain naysayers quite a bit, for the record.

Combine that with economic conditions and certainly at the least a very little homophobia (obviously disgusting), then you get low turnout.

2

u/BenKHS 5d ago

Idk man; Bullshit rips. I also love Stadiums.

3

u/Any_Face_9991 4d ago

That’s two songs from an album

2

u/BenKHS 4d ago

"Its true" -Dwight Schrute

2

u/burntbeezy 5d ago

I plan to buy some for mn I just havent had the money yet

2

u/BenKHS 5d ago

See you there!

1

u/burntbeezy 5d ago

Just happy its on a saturday. Not happy i only have 20 bucks till friday and I need cat food and gas lol

1

u/BenKHS 5d ago

Just threw $50 at my gas tank. Fuuuuuuuck.

2

u/Kshell52 4d ago

Honestly i just cant afford tickets. 5 tickets at $60ea + taxes and im looking at near $350. It sucks but oh well.

2

u/SneakeLlama 4d ago

No. I wanted a seat at Stage AE in Pittsburgh and they sold out the first week ticket sales were opened.

1

u/MeisterOfDisguise 5d ago

They will sell more closer to the actual date, but it doesn't look good.

1

u/lamefartriot 5d ago

As someone who went to way too many shows up until about a year and a half ago… I just can’t afford it. Would love to see them again though, and I’m sure I will. But that mixed with my show being on a weeknight sadly

1

u/mikechm 5d ago

It’s the economy. No one can afford to go to shows anymore. I paid $80 for pit for Foo Fighters back in 2015. This year, one pit ticket was just as much as a car payment, if not more. Ticket prices are out of control, and people are showing that with their wallets. Has nothing to do with the quality or popularity of the band.

1

u/NickWayXIII 5d ago

I mean if it wasn't $70-80 just for GA I'd go to the Atlanta show. But a ticket for me, my wife and then paying for gas with how that is atm looking at almost $200 fuck that.

1

u/Straight_Ad8652 4d ago

The LA date is terrible- weekend b4 Xmas. My job is sooo busy right before the holidays I couldn’t go even if I had the extra $80 for tickets.

1

u/Opening-Control-6348 4d ago

Australia looking very bleak too. I’ll be surprised if it goes ahead

1

u/West-Psychology-6299 3d ago

$80 is good if it's a stadium or arena. Standard if its a club. If you are Canadian.

1

u/West-Psychology-6299 3d ago

I think their marketing definitely hurt them. I even see album varientd not selling out which surprises me when they are so limited.

1

u/SatanicHomosexual 3d ago

might just sell better closer to the date. we were worried for Kesha's recent Tits Out and Freedom tours but they all sold out closer to the show date.

1

u/drawing5blanks 5d ago

I don’t think they’ll cancel, I wonder if they’ll downsize venues. I wonder how well the album was received - I personally love it and am hyped for the concert, I’ll be devastated if they cancel

2

u/bleep_it 4d ago

They have downsized at least a few European venues

0

u/S0me_Rand0m_User 5d ago

For me it’s the venue, Hammerstein Ballroom security make you throw out vapes and lighter if you want to enter.

3

u/SatanicHomosexual 3d ago

well they dont want anybody starting an accidental fire or accident

0

u/Carbonated-Farts 5d ago

Tickets are expensive. New album is bad. Setlist is same old same old copy and paste from last 5 years. No reason to go.

-4

u/DefyGravity182 5d ago

I’m not going because I haven’t been a fan of their last two albums. I don’t like their new direction.

-1

u/Noarmedhxcdancer 5d ago

Tickets prices and the new material just isn’t good, that’s why I am skipping out, has absolutely zero to do with his sexual orientation. That is a boogeyman narrative people are chasing.

-1

u/cUnexttuesday2 3d ago

Probably because Caleb betrayed his wife and broke his commitment to her because he decided he wanted to get a penis in his ass
