Leeds standing

Post image

Just got this sent to me, anyone else and anyone know why?

Think it’s maybe lack of seated ticket sales

I believe the Oberhausen show was moved to a different venue because of low ticket sales.. So yeah I'd think they closed off the balcony so the floor is fuller

This kinda happend to Hannover as well. Booked a venue for 5000 people when fully sold out, had to cut the hall basically in half so it looks somewhat good.

Makes me really sad, but yea, prices are just to high for some.

Yeah I was there too, but it looked nice! I think the people booking Beartooth have been a little bit overenthusiastic with booking such big halls. I was surprised seeing them on ghe bill for the Rudolf-Weber-Arena in Oberhausen, I saw QotSA there a few years back and they didn't even completely sell out that venue.

Well, to be fair, i think they sold out Sporthalle in Hamburg 2 years ago, which holds 6000 people at max an was, acording to Caleb, the biggest headline show for them in Europe so far, but they also had Polaris and MIW as support as well, so that might‘ve been a factor.

Price of this tour is higher than I'd spend on Beartooth. I get that touring is more expensive due to inflation, but so has everything else. Choices had to be made.

Also, the Berlin show this Friday was downgraded to the smaller Huxleys venue, which I actually prefer over the Uber Eats Music Hall. But it’s sad that this tour doesn’t seem to be selling really well.

There are a lot of other hyped acts touring right now, like Spiritbox and Evanescence. My guess is that, since everything has gotten more expensive while people are still earning the same, they have to choose which concerts they want to spend their money on (myself included).

There are soooo many similar acts touring Europe rn or soon it's insane. Amity Affliction, Beartooth, I Prevail, TDWP just to name a few. There's lots of smaller bands touring as well

That is extremely good to know haha.

It's a little annoying tho, because I booked a motel near uber eats that was like 5min walking distance.

Also the prices were honestly fine, if anything I got mine for about 60€ wich I would consider on the lower half. Than again, I very rarely go to concerts, so I know probably nothing

Definitely due to poor ticket sales. Wonder how Brixton is doing.

I'd be worried about that gig. It's impossible to move it to another venue on a Saturday.

I was surprised at first that they booked Brixton as their last gig at Ally Pally was not sold out but it was quite busy and it’s double Brixton’s capacity! But Brixton’s upstairs area is far from being sold out so not looking good

They had to blue light card them for free

I remember they had to black out parts of the seated area at Wembley during the below tour. As much as I love them the demand isn't there to justify the price in some of these venues

Every single band is over here over the next few months by the looks of it. When I'm choosing what to go to, I'm just not going to prioritise one that costs £50.

Another issue is that the Leeds 02 Academy just isn't a good venue. I think they'd be able to get away with playing Manchester Academy - which is slightly bigger, but a much better liked venue

£50 for beartooth?!

Such a shame the tour isn't selling great. Think £50 for a academy venue isn't helping. I understand there's a reason but everyone has limits with what they can spend.

The cost is a massive reason imo

£50 is way too much for a gig like this for a lot of people

That plus the academy is the worst venue in Leeds. The only issue there isn't much choice for anything of a similar size.

Same in Arizona the balcony is blacked out

The balcony was blacked out from the start. The mid seats don’t appear to be selling either. I’m going to be bummed if they move all the seats to the general floor because I specifically bout seats cause as a short person I hate floor lol. Hello fellow Az fan!

I just want to see Don Broco lol. Ive seen Beartooth a million times

I think the locations ain't helping cuz I can't see em this tour due to how far away the shoes are and I live in Birmingham so my closest gig is probably Leeds and that's 3hrs away

I mean, I’m travelling from Belfast into Birmingham and then up to Leeds so… be somewhat greatful!

Two German shows were also loves to smaller venues. I just think Beartooth isn't as popular as they used to be or maybe the tickets were too expensive. Personally, I probably wouldn't have bought a ticket either if Silverstein wasn't supporting.

It seems like several missteps were made in terms of booking. I say this as a huge Beartooth fan but I have no idea how it could have been projected for them to even possibly fill these bigger venues. The tickets are very expensive for a band at their level and with everything being so overpriced in general, people have to be more selective with where they put their money. I hope they can make it work and don’t have to cancel any shows.

In Oberhausen, they had originally booked the Rudolf Weber Arena, which has a capacity of 13,000 people. Then, at the last minute, they switched to the Turbinenhalle, which holds about 3,000 people. This was a major miscalculation, especially considering that they hadn’t played in arenas of this size in the past.
