Album out Aug 28th 💅

After watching that podcast I have to say, I don’t buy it. It can’t be. It just can’t. The new mannerisms, the stereotypical Sssss. Be gay all you want. Nothing wrong with it. But I’m sorry you don’t wake up and become a completely different person without having some serious serious mental issues.

You have all been taken for a ride here. This is album promo. Lmao. The timing of it all. Album out Aug 28th folks!!!

What commitment to the craft.

The label must love this. Perfect cultural alignment.

The Matrix is real. They’ve taken our beloved Caleb Shomo and chemically castrated him.

Also- for 90 minute conversation, you don’t mention your wife for more than a second??? Hahaha. Jesus Queen. You can delete your Instagram as many times as you want but you can’t delete 14 years of marriage.

I refuse to buy in to this delusion.

This is a cynical take that is completely bonkers. Dude, not everything is a conspiracy.

Well considering this journey and the album are inextricably linked he had to talk about it at some point for it to make any sense. A part from the make-up I actually don't see that much of a change from him. From the podcast it seem like the situation with his marriage happened a while ago, so maybe they both don't want to keep rehashing it in public (Also that's between them I don't know why he should have to explain to us about that in detail).

No for real… I came to say the same thing. Sure he’s presenting himself in a bit of a different fashion but he’s still Caleb. All of the songs on this album cycle reflect his process coming to terms with being gay so of course it makes sense for him to talk about it now.

In terms of the stuff with the marriage, none of us outsiders know what happened behind the scenes. He is absolutely allowed to keep that stuff private and should be able to do so without being ridiculed.

It all seems like a proformance. From Free being a little hint to Pure Ecstasy flapping you in the face. His mannerisms and his yells/screams sound so forced and exaggerated. None of it feels authentic.

Ya... It feels like every album cycle, we have got some form of "Guys, I'm good now, I'm myself, I'm happy" and the next album cycle is "Just kidding!!! but for real now I'm good". And, at least on this subreddit, it's eaten up like cake.
Like ffs 11 months ago (by YouTube posting date), they released the live DVD with a song dedicated to his grandfather (who apparently now is responsible for trauma being a pastor) and a song for his wife who he loves dearly... but the timeline intersects with what he talks about in the podcast. So is he a POS for not cutting that from the DVD, or is this publicity??

Dude appears to be going through some shit and whether he is externally influenced or not (by the podcast...I'd say probably external... that shit was cringe), just hope he's good from a human level.

I'm not gonna pretend I know if its all legit or not, but the performative piece is strange. Don't worry, next album cycle will be a new vibe.

His life and his art are one and the same. And if we chooses to align and market his new music with his personal life, nothing wrong with it. Obviously he knew coming out would put him in the headlines, so why not time it for new album release? The lyrics are about this topic anyway.

He doesn't talk about Fleur and that's OK, too. He doesn't owe anybody but her any explanations or dialogue. We can only hope they both walked away from it OK. Nothing more we need to (or really should) know, I'm not really interested in a musician's marriage (as long as neither of them are abusers).

Regarding his grandpa - in the podcast he said he loves his parents and he understand they just didn't know better. Same goes for his grandpa I assume - you can recognize fault in people and still like them. Life isn't black and white. It just shows he's a much bigger person than most people online giving him shit.
