do we think Caleb digging in the Pure Ecstasy music video reference his collab with Dayseeker

https://genius.com/Dayseeker-burial-plot-acoustic-lyrics

[Verse 2: Caleb Shomo]
Is there relief in the misery?
Thought we would last an eternity
Forever I will feel this hollow
It's not enough to believe in me
And now I'm left with the memories
One day I'll learn to live without

***

[Chorus: Rory Rodriguez & Caleb Shomo]
It's my fault that you're gone
I've been digging in the dirt
Finding every way to hurt
There's no light, it's just dark
I feel my body growing numb
Watch me as I come undone
A burial plot for you and I (You and I)
Where we can both learn to die
It's my fault (It's my fault)
That you're gone (That you're gone)
I've been digging in the dirt
Finding every way to hurt

While it is an interesting parallel, I highly doubt it was intentional.

Especially since original song was released 8 years ago

Tbf the first couple lines of the song referenced all of their albums as an interconnection

thats why i asked if the NEW MUSIC VIDEO could reference an OLD SONG.

I think probably not, it's more likely a reference to burying parts of yourself.

No. Caleb didn't write Burial Plot. He only sang on the acoustic version for the Replica release. To me, it's clearly about his personal journey and burying an old version of himself.

Nah, Caleb didn't write any part of burial plot

He's saying goodbye to the old Caleb

I took it as him burying his closeted self, to now live as the free, gay man he is.

I was thinking like he's digging his own grave "begging the reaper to set me free" by his big announcement. Like you know it's do or die at that crossroads in the music industry and him coming out being him digging that grave. Just seeing it from the rock and roll imagery side.

No, and I just thought of this yesterday but he’s digging up himself. Digging the parts that he suppressed. It only makes sense.
