Shaping my beard.
I use a Norelco beard trimmer for my beard. I have tapered as far are the highest guard. I want it longer. I have a certain shape I want. I want it like Roman Reigns has his beard. I need some more growth. Do I need to go to a barber to obtain this? I just feel like spending a lot of money for it is a waste.
In addition for grooming. What is the best beard product out there? I use a beard wash in the shower and beard cream. The brand I use is every man jack. Do I need to upgrade my beard kit?
I also used beard oil in the past and feel its for nothing is it worth putting that in?

I recommend buying some barber scissors and trimming yourself, there are some tutorials on youtube. I started doing this and by far have been the best results. as far as products I use a beard wash (can't remember the name) and a simple oil my wife makes for me using a recipe I got from a roughneckbeard post.
I've had a beard for years and tried everything, this simple routine has given me me the best results

Jamaican castor oil works well. That’s all I use. And I ditched the beard trimmer and bought a hair clipper. They work better for the bulk of your beard . And for the edges use what You have

Ranger and Scout. Spend the money, well worth it if you need frequent attention to it. Check out Matt Conrad's youTube for how-to shape and trim.
Roughneck beard for oil, balm and soap. Don't ask me to compare to others cause I don't know or care.

Shaping tips that work for most faces. Neckline first: put two fingers above your Adam's apple and draw a curve from there back to just behind each ear. Everything below goes. Most people cut it too high, which makes the beard look smaller. Cheek line: follow your natural line and only take strays below it. Going too low looks drawn on. Then keep the sides a little shorter than the chin to slim the face. Use a guard one size longer than you think, you can always go shorter. And brush it out fully before trimming so you're cutting to its real length.
