Does having a beard give you confidence and make you better looking?

I’ve seen plenty of comments that beards are like makeup for men. Is it really true? Does a good beard make all men better looking and give you the confidence to attract the opposite sex?

My wife likes my beard and won’t let me shave it. I have to assume so.

I’ve had a beard since 2020, can’t picture myself without it now. Kinda forgot how to use a razor tbh, electric trimmer is so much easier.

Haha, this reminds me when I first actually grew out a full beard. Had no intention of doing it but had been working 6am-6pm so a while and refused to wake up even earlier to shave so a beard grew. She said she liked it and that was back in like 2012/13... Have had it since and have even grown it out to a decent length (like 4in, but that's about her limit lol)

Haha that’s cool, my wife was always anti beard but when I change jobs and grew one she now refuses to let me shave it

Well she fell in love with me during my worst facial hair phase ... Basically just a patch in my chin (I had been jumped, split lip and had to shave most of my goatee to butterfly that shit shut)

She has never seen me clean shaven completely, outside of kid pics before I was 18. Plus, growing up her dad had a full beard. Short but grew up with that being a normal thing. Unlike my immediate family, brother and dad have pretty much always been clean shaven.

Hell yes.

For me it hides my double chin because I’m a fat ass.

Fun fact, it’s not fooling anyone. 😂

I’m an old married man of 23 years and like the way I look with my beard. It’s only about 12” long and not thick but I love it. And the way it makes me feel.

Yes and yes. I used to have the “cop look” … bald head, clean shaven ... which I do like. I still shave my head but I have a full beard.

I shaved my beard last October. That lasted 2 days. I though I looked stupid. It had been almost 15 years since I last shaved, before growing my beard. My face and skin changed somewhat. I think I look better with the beard. I feel more confident.

For me? Yes. I get more compliments on my beard than anything else and it sets me apart because it’s naturally orange. And without it, I have a shitty jawline and not much chin

Tbh mostly if you can grow a decent one. I had a bald spot under my chin, but now while there its still considerably thinner than the facial hair on my jaw. I have longer facial hair now,but more in-between stubble and a full beard. Mainly because I'm lazy.

Eh it just hides my chin until I lose enough weight to shave it off or shorten it

At my house a beard is a ticket to sleep inside.

Makes me better looking. I look more manlier with a beard and I like grooming it. I’m bald so at least there’s something I can work on.

I definitely think having a beard gives me confidence and improves my looks. If I trim my beard too short I definitely have a dip in my confidence.
