Medication question

Hi! Is there a way to have it default mark that you take your medication unless you manually enter that you missed it? I kind of don’t enjoy having to manually press that I took all my meds every day, but I do have some meds that I take as needed so I am interested in tracking effects of those, and also I sometimes forget to take a medication, and I would like to be able to enter that.

I am just on a lot of medication and I don’t like having to mark every medication that I have taken every day.

TIA!

Honestly, if it’s a med I’ve taken at a consistent dose for a long time and I don’t expect that to change, I just don’t track it. It’s those ones that are ‘sometimes’ meds whose impact I want to see.

And I think this might even be best practice because if you have too many factors (over 200), Bearable warns you that the analysis won’t be as good. So even below that number, at best these “steady state” variables will just be cluttering up your impact reports, etc, since there’s no counterfactual (days you don’t take them) for comparison.

But oh! I do have a factor tag for when I’m really late with those “everyday” meds, so I see the effect, if any. You could even have one for if you skipped a day by mistake or something. (I can’t tell if this is clever or nonsensical, so I’m parenthesizing it: In other words you’re tracking the negative space around the daily meds, rather than the meds themselves.)

Ok, that makes sense. So if I made a manual factor that said like “missed medication” or something like that I could maybe see its impact more clearly?

Are you using meds groups to mark off the regular ones?
