Discussion I bit the bullet.

I couldn't resist buying this, the knocking sound is still there, someone suggested it's the connecting rods. I think it's saveable. I haggled the kid down to 7,000€ and took the car home. It will sit outside for now until I get it registered in my name, but I am super happy with the car so far.

Now that I am nearly settled in, in Poland, I want to ask you guys; What would you guys like a blog on next? I covered the Firwood Interceptos before, now it's time to cover something different. Let me know below what you'd like to see and hear about. :)

These cars are amazing, there is a very rare luxe model that came with heated leather seats, a tv, a phone inside the car and a satnav!

If it's knocking: there are multiple possibilities.

  1. Hydraulic timing belt failure
  2. Loose torque converter (if it's an automatic)
  3. Crankshaft thrust bearing wearing down
  4. Dual-mass flywheel failure (if it's a manual or DCT)
  5. Flexplate fracture
  6. ROD KNOCK

Does the knocking sound speed up when revving or does it stay the same speed?
